I reread my old fiction collection and discovered... I couldn't enjoy it anymore. It wasn't because the content was bad, but because the narrative was flat, breaking my immersion. This is the curse of knowledge. As your tastes become better, you can no longer enjoy the dishes you once enjoyed...
