  • Three chapters until the epilogue... I'm tired, my creativity is limited, time is limited, everything is limited... but I have to finish this fiction (at least volume 2 at this point). Because a good fiction is one that provides an ending.
A few people commit serious offenses, and then people with the same identity are punished collectively in the name of deterrence. What brilliant logic!
Good (not best) fiction is fiction that touches the reader's emotions. Often what readers care about is not the fiction's deep thematics, original premises, complex characters, living world, or suspenseful plots, but rather the most basic thing: touching the reader's emotions.

Well, I'm not a fan of the fiction you mentioned... but to be fair, we're only discussing it from the perspective of reader psychology. And yes, it does fulfill the reader's most primitive emotional needs, a topic often considered taboo in society: sexuality.

There's nothing inherently wrong with wish fulfilment in fantasy, unless it turns the characters into nebulous hollow nothings to be filled by the reader. My wish is to experience a greater spectrum of humananity, since I can't be or do everything in one lifetime.

@JayMark Well, we should learn to embrace the positive side to formulate better stories. Imagine fiction that touches readers' emotions, becomes popular, and has a depth of content worth reading and leaves a lasting impression as a masterpiece. Wouldn't that be great fiction? I know it's not easy... but there's nothing wrong with hoping to write better fiction.
Has anyone experienced the same problem as me? My laptop crashed badly. The screen went black even after restarting. Last activity: opening Chrome, then the GPU suddenly crashed. Note: I'm using Ubuntu OS.

After a few hours of cooling... the laptop returned to normal. I was traumatized by Chrome and switched to Mozilla.:blob_shock:
Sometimes I want to write a truly good antagonist narrative that provides inspiration and hope. Writing an antagonist, villain, or anti-villain is too dark, too tiring, and makes me feel bad. However, if the antagonist is a hero, then the aura is uplifting.
    Eldoria
    Eldoria
Well, Alice-chan is a heroine antagonist character who is too good for the dark world.

She is like an angel descended from heaven, just by her presence making those around her feel safe and peaceful. She is a light that is a disaster in a dark world.
    Eldoria
    Eldoria
In terms of character design, she is a synthesis of various shounen hero tropes, classic knights, and chosen ones.

However, Alice-chan (the Knight Princess) will never be the protagonist... because the protagonist (FMC) always belongs to a wounded mother, Marry El Rose (the Blood Rose Princess).
If Eldoria is a world healing from a dark past, does that mean you are not a person, but an entity that represents an entire world talking to us right now? :blob_frown:
They laugh at me and call me childish just because I like cartoons, anime, and similar fantasy stories.

However, they actually complicate their own lives, making simple things even more complicated, throwing tantrums, whining, and even insulting those they oppose, as if they were living in a Korean drama universe.

I just smile faintly, watching them from afar.
webnovelfinder.com is more like a novel search engine. I just discovered that my fiction work is among those indexed there, along with hundreds of thousands of other works.

At least they only redirect to official platforms. In other words, they only copy the fiction's metadata.
This is unlike other fiction aggregator sites that copy entire chapters without asking.

I wouldn’t say they copy the synopsis. As mine was clearly butchered lol. Got the right idea I suppose, but messed up parts.

It is like novelupdates but for english ones.
My guess answers to your questions.
    1. Yes
    2. Because Subaru protected her.
    3. Because she loves him
    4. Because he saved her in the future/past. Some timewimey shit.
    5. A Time paradox
    6. No, Satella and the witch of envy are different. Two separate personalities.
    7. Subaru is the one who saved Satella but also potentially a guy named Flugel.
    8. Subaru is the leading star of pleiades.

An interviewer asked the author before, "what happens when Subaru collects all of the authorities?" The author said, "he will be human."

It is no coincidence that Envy started with return by death. Envy copied pride is my guess, and Pride is considered the worst sin of all. What is more prideful than a rejection of death?
    Envylope
    Envylope
Envy witch factor is a copycat ability, and that's why everyone hates her. She usurped what is supposed to be someone elses. There are multiple references in the universe to her "consuming" everything. Though, I could be off.

The author cunningly spreads foreshadowing even beyond fiction.
Someone said someone created 100 fake reviews just to become a rising star (ongoing) [needs further proof of this claim].

Well, if external validation, numbers, popularity, and engagement are everything in fiction, then that wouldn't be surprising. It makes sense!
I was casually crawling the web novel series with some chatbots... and found that my fiction wasn't valuable enough to be picked up by crawler sites.

But some of the popular fiction on SH has been picked up by at least three crawler sites with large memberships.

pirate sites that collect a lot of fiction through illegal crawling (e.g. novelbin, etc).

Well I checked that out and instantly saw a bunch of LitRPG and smut stories. If you wanna be picked up by them… ?

No, thanks. My niche fiction keeps it safe from piracy. lol
Thoughts of native isekai? Like the isekai-ed MC is the reincarnation of someone from that world or was born there and somehow transported to our world and come back home?

Native isekai? What a funny and seemingly contradictory term. If the MC is simply reborn in their original world, it's not isekai. It's a reincarnated MC.
    Eldoria
    Eldoria
My opinion? Reincarnated MCs are usually still obsessed with the conflict of her/his past. Authors often depict how they pursue their old lives (which are usually considered failures) through redemption, either by becoming heroes again and saving old acquaintances. And that's the drama's value.
    Eldoria
    Eldoria
It's better... at least there's a more humane exploration of psychological and socio-historical conflict than modern isekai MCs who tend towards escapism.

It would also be weird to see her daughter (Caelan) spouting a bunch of fictional theories, even though she's just an innocent, spoiled little girl who loves her mother.

I don't want my characters' voices to be tainted by mine. Lol

Ehh I wouldn’t say that. It’s not like you’re role playing as your characters (unless you are). People with Itachi Uchiha profile pictures still go around saying “skibidi” ? although… a Gen Alpha Itachi. That’s quite a vision…

    Eldoria
No! The author's voice is truly my own. I never fake my personality, even when using a pen name. So, I won't deceive you by sounding different from my real-life voice.
Eldie-chan did you eat anything yummy for for New Year’s :)
    Eldoria
    Eldoria
Well, I ate mother's fried chicken.

Honestly, when I was a kid, I tended to be picky eaters (avoiding vegetables, lol).

But as an adult, anything Mommy served tasted delicious.

I had Chinese hot pot >:) and they also have fried chicken in the mini buffet section. They have no business serving such crispy fried chicken. I get one or two every time I go there. ?

Picky eater here as well ✌️but of course I’ve grown a lot better as an adult. That won’t stop me from indulging in some fried chicken or sweet treats though :blob_evil:
