Kinda sad that some of the nicely done translated novels were removed such as some of the better chinese cultivation ones but its understandable as the website was not really meant for translations, just dont know where to find good translations anymore then?

Have you tried ScribbleHub's sister site, NovelUpdates? It is a repository that shows you where you can find tons of translations.

To throw in my 2 cents. I think a link to a webpage saying "removed for such rule" with a link to somewhere else is too much to ask for. The admins would have to make an individual page for every novel they removed. This is putting too much work on their shoulders for a rule that has been listed before.

However, I do think a pinned announcement on the Scribble page would have been nice. Either pinned there or a pinned thread on the latest topics drop down just saying something like "Hey we just went through and did a purge of novels that aren't allowed." This would have been much better then trying to go through the forum or the author's profile page looking for an idea of what happened.

I will say though that it is nice that the story names are still listed in the reading list. Can just google the name of the good translation slop and find it on another site to read.

Can't remember there ever been a site wide announcement on scribblehub. The most we got was a thread with a statement from Tony, which got buried as soon as new threads were made as the thread wasn't pinned.

Do the few SSSCs count? :blob_unsure:

I don't really remember if that was pinned, but the extra row to feature the works of that contest were nice. But the difference between that and this tl purge is that a writing contest is in the potential interest of all authors here, while the tl announcement is only interesting for those involved.

I genuinely don't understand what your problem is. If you're looking to read translated works, why not use a different site like NovelUpdates to find out whether the work you want to read is translated and then navigate to the translator's site and read direct? This shouldn't even be a problem.

as a reader this has been horrible. u wanna ban translations alr no problem u have it in the rules that s fair, as a reader i m not bored enough to go to chinese or korean net to check if one of my favourite stories is actually a translation, period. some selfproclaimed justice warrior wanna do it? cool.
at the least i d expect a proper prompt when going to any of the removed content, i mean i saw ur post about how to indentify those...u had the time to do such a info dumb but were too lazy to make proper prompts to contain a reason and a link to the original for the content removed?
wtf is wrong with u?
edit: removed the quote marks from translations since they seem to have caused misunderstandings
note: it seems some fictions have been hit that r not translations, but since there s no explanation for the ban i guess it might not have been banned for being a translation, another argument for giving us readers and also authors a prompt for the ban

An wen genau soll des eigentlich geh'n?

Auf da Hauptseitn trifft genau oana so a Entscheidung... Des wirkt grad eher so, als wär'n wir alle gemeint.
