What am I even seeing here? But I'm seeing a lot of illustrations just added there for fun, usually at the end of chapters, and it is really dissapointing coming from authors, who are a kind of artists.
I also want to add that illustration are not necessary to the story, and reading has always been about imagination.
True unless you make money off a patreon then it could be considered an investment. Also I like your cover and on unrelated note I also had a book idea about "The Narrator" lolI just paid what I consider a reasonable fee from one of SH's artists to make a new cover for DEN instead of the AI slop I had for a FF I make no money off of, but that was because I plan on hiring her when I send my OG work to Amazon for sale to do all it's art and wanted to see what she could come up with before I commited (Thanks again @pangmida)
No one should expect anyone to pay for something done as a hobby, and I'd bet most people who don't draw regularly could barely draw a stick figure lol

It does seem a bit more demanding than writing in a regular format (Quite strenuous already). Also wouldn't you be able to simply put a Kofi without locking any chapters behind paywall/ posting any chapters there at all?hehe
I might revisit that (The Narrator) another day, just in a different format. I tried something I saw in a book 30 years ago, and ended up not liking it so put it on hold.
As for monetizing an FF, nope. Don't want to play legal games like that.
My own OG worlds I have no problems doing that, and will see if Patr or Amaz make more sense in about 6-8 months. =)
No. Monetization of fanfiction in any way is not allowed. Exception is when you have a written permission from IP owner or own the IP used. Also wouldn't you be able to simply put a Kofi without locking any chapters behind paywall/ posting any chapters there at all?
If authors use AI illustrations, they should stop complaining about AI writing.![]()
