I prefer to read chapters that are 4k-5k words in length. Less than 2000 words is way too short.

Respawn type immortality is always fun. In this one manga, a character would respawn seconds after his death, falling naked out of a rift to bodyslam his own corpse. He rarely had a good time after dying, because whatever killed him was still there and usually still trying to kill him.

One thing to acknowledge about this type of setting is that the worldbuilding can be hard to sell, and readers may struggle to become invested in the new setting. Having the old world so suddenly depopulated can lend a sense of impermanence to the new one too, and plot may feel disconnected from...
