From what I can see, people do that if they just want to subscribe for one month. So they paid the $10, got their advance chapters, and then canceled so they wouldn't get charged for another month unless they decide they want to stay subscribed.

I'm still not going to read it due to the tone deafness of the advertisement. Your story has three chapters and two "bonus scenes," and you're marketing it as having close to 500 chapters.
