I just spent two days straight trying to integrate a joke I really liked into XNPC. After rewriting three chapters to try and shoehorn it in, and the shoehorning being extremely obvious every time, I finally gave up.

I don't know if I'd count The Game at Carousel as horror. It's definitely horror themed, but it feels more like it's spoofing cheesy horror b-movies than actually trying to scare you. It's still good, but you might be disappointed if you go in expecting a legitimately scary story.
