How does it feel reading an old novel you wrote long ago?

    I know there's value, it's just, AHHHHHHH :blob_thor:

How does it feel reading an old novel you wrote long ago?

As the question says, how does it feel reading an old novel you wrote when you were still practicing, maybe abandoned because it sucked or the old version of a rewrite? I was currently reading the old version of Level Up – To Break All Limits I Have on Royal Road and reading it...I want to wipe...

Do You Outline the Characters or do you do the characters and the story?

This is something I want to know since I'm curious how other authors do it. How do you keep track of all of your characters and story? For me who's writing a LitRPG, I have all my characters on a google doc, every single character that will appear, the affiliations, a basic outline of them and...

Favorite Crash-out moment(s) in novels you read

What are some of your favorite moments when a character just completely when berserk, just abounded everything, throwing everything away in pure anger or in any other emotion I know Subaru when he was screaming at Emilia (Don't remember the chapter number :blob_no: )

    Writing volumes for your novel.

Can anyone tell what a good number of chapters for a volume should be? Sometimes, it's 30, other times its 10 or 15. I just don't know. I want to know because the arcs in the novel might be longer than each other, and I sometimes assumed that they were divined by arc, but other times, it's a...

    Is this Fire?

I have this really cool idea with the rankers in the novel that the reason they are S Rank is because the main antagonists created vessels to be able to land on earth. To do that, they need physical vessels to inhabit since they are spiritual, so they created souls using a piece of their own...

    Gates as distorted realities.

I think so? I'm not too familiar with Persona, but I do know there is stuff about perception and how Joker has a toy gun become a real gun, but that's as far as my knowledge goes.

    Gates as distorted realities.

In a way. They don't mimic everything one to one, just distort what's already exist into a new form. It also changes depending on perception, so if someone loses somebody in a gate, that grief can create a new monster.

    Gates as distorted realities.

Who knows? Maybe this book: 'Phantastes'

    Gates as distorted realities.

So, for the novel, the gates don't work like the usual gates in novels with a whole different world, similar to a dungeon and instead, they are distorted realities. They create a barrier around the space and inside these domains, everything about that space can become a monster. Like for...

    Solo Leveling but Better?

I actually did look it up and it appeared pretty fast. In fact, my title is similar only to one other and that one has a '!' in his title so it actually isn't hard to find mine, especially with there being only one page. But he is right, I'll just have to one day hope I earn enough money to get...

    Solo Leveling but Better?

While that is certainly true, its meaning is actually meant to be broader in my story. The system only being one example. I want tit to be more about self-improvement, about Leveling Up to be better than you are before. Whether physically or mentally, which are the challenges my MC and the...

    Solo Leveling but Better?

So basically, another fun novel I'm doing is an old novel that I had dropped on Royal Road. it was basically going to be solo leveling but with good characters or at least an attempt. I decided to revamp my old novel to not only make it better but take a lot of inspiration form solo leveling...

My MC as a Jack of All-Trades

So is my novel, the MC is a slime, and, in my universe, slimes are well known for being able to adapt to anything as well as copy anything to a mediocre extent or at best average through outright or clever ways, but of course, he's very simple minded and of course, isn't going to really do...

Besides writing, what's the best way to improve as a writer?

Ag Agreed(y):blob_cookie: I would go as far to say I prefer criticism if anything. I don't give a damn about glaze or praise because they can only do so much. For me, criticism is the best kind of glaze out there, because these people think they can spend their time to dissect what you made. I...
