When it comes to the woke, anyone right of Mao is a chud. But you gotta admit using immutable characteristics as checkpoints on a list to have in your media/workforce, is inherently bigoted. Both back when he was Jim and after when she became Stephanie. I stopped when she went off the deep end and started attacking her audience for not being woke enough. I get the struggle, but I'm Buddhist. This body is temporary, so why should I change it, when it's a lesson itself.

I absolutely don't care and have dropped sites, youtubers, etc when they were about one thing, but then change to politics. Cause gaming is an escape from the real world and politics, so when people with agendas want to insert it into my escape from it, I get quite mad. Nobody wants to be ugly and/or fat, it's why there's Concord and all the other woke games after flopping super hard. There are no mods to make characters uglier, only hotter.


Thus I'm labeled a chud and a gooner by gaming journos who've now been fired, because AI is cheaper and easier to control.

I got time, so I’ll be nice and debunk the shit you’ve been fed because I believe you have a chance to see reason. To be blunt, you’ve been fed a lie. The only reason Concord got the attention is because people of color was on there. That is it. You ever noticed the games and shows you’ve been told to mad about have stared POCs? Because they don’t like black people. It’s a dog whistle. I believe you’re not racist, so I’ll keep it straight, the “ugly people” shit is a cover up. They just don’t want to see women of color. Or at least ones they can’t get off to.

all art is political. I’m surprised you, in an art space, can’t see that, maybe because I went to college in communications, but I see it everywhere. Politics isn’t just Democrat and Republican. It’s the environment around you. Somebody from the inner city because of Redlining will make art differently than somebody from the suburbs because their moms was rich.

I know you're arguing with someone else, but come on. They made the robot character (a robot's programming is literally 1s and 0s) claim that he is "non-binary." The game failed because it was released in a market oversaturated with hero shooters with characters less appealing than in the other hero shooters (and MOBAs). I know people who've memorized the entire lore of each character in Overwatch who didn't show any interest in Concord. It also didn't help that the devs called everyone who wasn't interested in the game a bigot.

Nobody was told to hate Concord, Highguard, the upcoming game Marathon, or the upcoming game Horizon Hunters Gathering. The player base, after watching the trailers and gameplay, chose to not be interested, and now all the devs and journalists are running around doing damage control and claiming that bigots are sabotaging the game. Imagine my shock when I had no idea if Concord would do well (if it had, my cousins and brother would have been asking me to buy it), only for me to find articles calling me hateful for not buying it the second it came out.

You can make a political statement with every product or service you put out; that doesn't mean that you should. When Rome was at its most stable, the people in power knew the difference between the propaganda and the "bread and circuses" (entertainment, the distractions); during the times of instability, it was often the opposite—the people in power would try and conflate the two. No one is a bad person because a weak piece of entertainment failed to do its job. When Highguard came out, people who downloaded it to give it an honest shot were so bored that some stopped playing mid-tutorial, and somehow the journalists will claim those people are bigots who are on an evil "culture war."
