Literally every human does this after a bit of time passes while they think they are alone. We possess a potent instinct to broadcast our presence when we are alone. The differences are "how long" and "how alone." For some people, alone in a boat in the middle of the Pacific Ocean isn't alone enough for them to start talking to themselves, because they saw their reflection in the water. For others, alone enough is a crowded mall if they don't see anyone they recognize. For some people how long is "I said goodbye to someone just three seconds ago." For others, how long means "its been two weeks since I left my house."
