Cough cough*
I want to hear what the SH writers are reading. Novels, stories(SH or other sites), fan fictions, smut, the backs of shampoo bottles.
I am reading three things actively at the moment.
1. Forge of God|Novel
Sci Fi book about aliens destroying Earth and the end of the world. Almost done with this one. Well written, but kinda depressing
2. This Is How I Lived [A Post-Apocalyptic Diary] |SH
Journal of a a girl living through a zombie event. But she has a lot of personality, its a more "slice of life" style. Also, there seems to be a slowly unraveling mystery about the protag. Dont wanna spoil.
3. If You Can Hear This, Stop Listening|SH
Not many chapters of this yet. But its shaping up to be a really well written supernatural queer romance. I really like the radio supernatural theming too
Now, what are you reading? Remember...

Oh and I finished a book called
Eternity Road. Takes place hundreds of years after the end of civilization. A group travels to retrieve lost knowledge at an ancient mythical library.
All the tech of our world(now dead) is like magic to them.
I have a story in my head, that I eventually plan to write and post on SH, does that make me an SH writer...? Hopefully.
I've been reading My Longevity simulation for a while now, it's different from other cultivation webnovels in that the heavenly dao is not just against cultivators by sending heavenly tribulation during a breakthrough and then calling it a day, but by actively sabotaging them, and while the concept of simulation/regression isn't really new, it's done really well in this case, especially the butterfly effect, like how just killing a school of fish set a wave of events rolling that eventually culminated in a deadly war.
Another I've been reading is Red Rising, I thought it'd be the usual YA with the first book and whatnot, but goddamn it's so freaking peak man, though I stopped at the third book, and haven't picked the fourth because the ending was too jolly for me. I love happy endings, but man, it just feels like the height of joy in this ending only exists to emphasize the pain to come in the fourth one.
I've never played RDR but my partner had been seriously recommending a fanfic to me, and well I had to try it, all I can say is that it's beautiful in the way it expresses emotions and stuff, only downside it's that it's on ao3, so the updates are quite slow. I have to warn that it's an mlm romance, if you're planning to read it.
What stranger miracles
Also reread this baihe novel(Yuri, but baihe since it's a chinese novel), called
I want to be alone beautifully, it's quite angsty, and to be honest, I wouldn't recommend it for everyone, but it's very very good.
And as for manga/manhwa, I recently started A mark against thee, it's a very good work. Then zomgan, choujin X, absolute regression, and last but not the least, some sweetness to wash away all my angst, star ginseng store.
