What are SH writers reading?

I'm doing a similar project. Vowing to read through all the unread books I own.

Let us know how you like the way of kings! Thats on my list too, I love sanderson. Especially mistborn

Nice. I'll let you know once I am done. No offense to Sanderson but most of the plots that I've been told about(cosmere and such) don't intrigue me very much so I have a very low expectations.

Having a very low expectations is a good thing. You will be less likely to get disappointed.

Here's a recommendation from me: The Legend of Drizzt books. Classic well written and well regarded fantasy

read it already. its alright. world is pretty intresting. Ive found a similar novel lately but i marked it as meh The Price of Ravens. (flexing)

ive scoured ML fantasy novels bruh, especially antihero/grimdark stuff.

im telling you. all fantasy is now FL for some reason. its dark times indeed

But! Have you heard of the book, Between two Fires? Very dark. And violent. And one of the leads is male. Very unique and well written. Not like high fantasy, but has fantastical elements. Might be your kinda read

I am so sorry I guess it's light for me because I read a lot of dark fiction. However, for other readers, this is a dark novel with no morally good characters.

Ah yes, the "apologies, we're returning Lord Soth to you, Weiss and Hickman" novel...

P. N. Elrod's Strahd novels were some of the best in that line, those, the origin of Azalin and the "Jekyll and Hyde" novel were, for me, the only true stand-outs.
