A Train traveling on a road. Could a train drive on a road in theory? Does somebody know?
Too heavy, it would destroy the road before it even took off. But if it were on a strong enough surface, it could technically drive, just poorly.

For just a bit more info, the main reason tracks are built the way they are is to create friction between the steel on the wheel and the steel on the tracks, as well as to properly distribute weight throughout the tracks. Train tracks essentially do the turning for the vehicle. The strongest roads we use can handle about 4-5K PSI, but a train driving would be over 90K PSI, so no, a road couldn't handle it, and I doubt there are many surfaces that could. Anyway, here's a meme.
