I think I'd go for one of the great apes, maybe homo sapiens sapiens. Probably my favorite animal. They are great endurance hunters, and they have a natural talent for throwing that beats anything else in the animal kingdom. Plus, they're social creatures, who are great at coordinating with large groups. Only ants and bees and such really have them beat.

Definitely a great animal, even if they have a lot of salty haters.
