There are millions of fan fiction out there. Some Chinese fanfics are even contracted with WN. HF's top fanfic author is making over $70k/year lol. So, I doubt they even care.

I already said what I had to. Gave enough proof. You want to drag it, it's your problem. Authors should always keep an eye out there. Would you believe me if I said that someone took my fanfic and Original novel and was making money on Kindle for years? I didn't even know then someone told me about that. After that, I always keep an eye out there. You want proof? I can show you amazon mails if you want. Keep an eye out there if you don't want someone feeding off your books. I believe the part about kindle. It happened here multiple times with various authors. What I don't understand is your phrasing of original post, and why you didn't research Thorkell.

Sigh. Because how would I know that he didn't know about reaperscans? As I said, it was a big deal just last year when all the pirated sites got taken down. When I saw the watermark on the first image, I thought oh, this guy must be a scammer and forgot to remove the watermark. Then he did agreed that he worked with them. Anyway, it's your words against mine. I proved the people he worked with are thieves and scammers. So, I don't see any point in arguing anymore. He can be legit, he is legit, whatever... The evidence you posted are literally different translations. Reaperscans even started posting before Tapas and is ahead. Of course, the one on Tapas seems to be officially licensed, but the one on RS isn't even paywalled... So?

Most scanlations are "illegal" anyways, often times they get taken down because they're translating it without permission from the publisher, not cause they're stealing somebody else's hard work.

But you know, most of us are guilty of sailing the 7 seas. You're built different if you only buy and read licensed translations man.

I also don't like paywalled translations, but other translators also offer advance chapters for donations/currency on their site. So I wouldn't call ReaperScans the devil because of that, not to the point where working with them makes you scum by association.

Yup. I live my life following certain rules. As an author, I know how it feels when someone takes your work. So, if I read I try to support the OG creator. Then there are free webtoons or manhuas that are partnered with sites that offer them for free. Then there are daily free pass.

As someone making art for a novel, my 'guess' was it's obvious one would know about reaperscans. Using watermarked image was his fault. I just pointed it out and thought someone took it from rs and trying to scam here. Why I didn't check? What's there to check? I already said, he can be legit, he is legit, it doesn't matter to me. You got your opinion, I got mine. And its veryyyyy hard to believe that he didn't know about rs. He worked with them. They got a site. That site contains illegal translations.
