Huh, what's all the drama from the above. Although is nice to see an Artist promoting an Art for a Author' Book covers.

For Xcalibu_Xc, why not debate this in Reddit? This is a forum about Author writing their book, and help who want to became one. And also, this isn't X or any Social Media.
Debate? I just stated the truth about the site the artist worked for. It's called spreading awareness to help others against scammers. The rest, the artist's supporter arguing. That's not my problem. ? Can't take the truth, I see. The more you people argue the more you prove my point. Just how desperate you people are.

You copied those pics from reaperscans ? That's a pirated site. They posts things for webtoon and all. Nice try scammer.
Your point is invalid. You are refusing to acknowledge you were wrong, even after being given all the context you need to see it. A commission is a commission. You are baselessly slandering a proper artist, like a Twitter Karen.

I just stated the truth about the site the artist worked for.
The fuck you did. Your first comment was a baseless attack on someone's reputation without evidence:

Just take the L.

Thorkell is legit as legit can be, and you can find his speed drawings of these works on his Instagram, and I say that as someone who commissioned him multiple times.

Baseless? The first picture has reaperscans name at the top. Reaperscans is an illegal scanlation site. They steals others work. So, what do you expect? An artist promoting their work with an illegal sites name in his art, did you expect some kind of praise? ? Working with or for thieves, makes you a thief. If you are legit work for legit. But you fangirls don't understand that simple fact. And it's so fun to see so many fangirls of the artist defending, ignoring the hard cold fact. But then again, truth is always bitter.

Reaperscans is an illegal site. So, yeah. I can't trust someone working with them. The first image top.
each and every cover of your 'novels' is stolen. spreading awareness for the same shit you're doing? nothing screams insecure like virtue signaling. is the money from selling porn to marvel manchildren not enough for a commission?

First, ReaperScans is illegal, you say. Sure, no one’s denying that. But here's a thought experiment for you: If your favorite snack brand accidentally appears in the background of a shoplifter's selfie, are you going to march into their corporate office, wave the picture in their face, and demand they confess to enabling grand theft Pringles? Or do you just need a hobby that doesn’t involve policing copyright law with all the nuance of a practically nobody on the internet?

Secondly, this "guilt by association" logic. Let’s play that game: You’re using the internet, right? You know, the same internet that's also used by hackers, scammers, and people who steal your fanfics into their aggregator sites. Does that make you a hacker, scammer, or a aggregator? Because by your standard, sharing a digital space means you’re complicit in everything that happens there. Congratulations on your new role as a universal accomplice.

Now for the artist: They likely didn’t slap ReaperScans' name on their work themselves—scanlation groups do that to distribute content. And even if they did, you’re assuming they knew ReaperScans' reputation, understood its legal implications, and somehow signed a blood oath in support of digital piracy. That’s a lot of assumptions for someone who can’t even distinguish between promoting art and committing a crime. But sure, keep ranting about “hard cold facts” while waving around your opinion like it’s a Nobel Prize in forensic investigation.

Here’s the truth you’re so proudly clutching: You’re making baseless accusations about an artist without understanding how the industry works, and then congratulating yourself for being bitter about it. Well done. Truly, an icon of justice.

The cover pic of my books are AI-made. ?? And since you can't come up with anything, you decided to attack me using what I write lol. Yeah, I write harem and hardcore fanfics and patreon exclusive OG novels. The last time I checked, it ain't illegal, is it? Neither is using AI pics. C'mon, try harder.

??So many funny people.
1> Reaperscans is illegal site
2> My first comment and calling the artist a scammer was based on the name on the first pic
3> If the artist is promoting their work, why use 'reaperscans' name on their art? Isn't it theirs so, they should have used their own trademark? But once sold, whose property does that art become?
4> The artist said> 'they came to me with the author, artists, and the manager, willing to pay for a cover commission,
working with a team with other artists was the plan, but it didn't end up well.
this novel is originally theirs, not translated or re-uploaded.
whereas the illustration, it's original.
i worked with both directors and illustrated it.
intentionally left the watermarks on it.'
> I find it very hard to believe that a site that steals others' work and posts there can write their own original novel. lol. Who the heck would believe some thieves? I won't. It's the artist's fault for not checking things properly even after working closely with them and using a pirate site trademark.
5> If you are doing a legit job, make sure the other party is also legit. That's how legal business works.
6> I can see how desperate you all are. That proves I hit a nerve there with the truth.
7>I am done with numbnuts lol. Keep babbling.

Did you ask permission from the original author? Or did you steal them? If the former is true, please show the DMs. Until then...

I'll leave this here:

As I said AI made???
Now you people can argue so, you want to attack me using the cover pic I use. It's AI made and on Pinterest you will find same pic with different shades or little tweaks in colour. Try harder. Oh, go and read the rules of fanart.

First, congratulations on stating the blindingly obvious: “ReaperScans is illegal.” Oh wow, really? Stop the presses, folks! You’ve uncovered a secret so profound I’m sure the FBI is banging down your door for consulting work. Nobody here is denying that ReaperScans is a pirate site—literally nobody. But you’re acting like declaring this simple fact is the trump card that makes your entire argument bulletproof. Newsflash: saying “the sky is blue” doesn’t mean you know meteorology, and yelling “ReaperScans is illegal” doesn’t automatically mean the artist is complicit in their crimes. That’s not logic—it’s the kind of lazy moral grandstanding even a second-grader would side-eye.

Next, let’s address your “evidence”: a watermark. You saw ReaperScans’ name on the art and decided that this was enough to call the artist a scammer. Incredible. You’ve solved the case with all the deductive prowess of a toddler playing detective with a magnifying glass and a juice box. Here’s how it actually works: ReaperScans paid the artist for a commissioned piece. The moment that transaction was completed, the artwork became their property, and they slapped their watermark on it like every scanlation group does. The artist didn’t add it, didn’t endorse it, and certainly didn’t crawl into bed with a pirate syndicate because of it. But sure, go ahead and build an entire conspiracy theory out of this breadcrumb, because that’s clearly the intellectual hill you’ve chosen to die on.

Your next shining point of genius: “Why use ReaperScans’ name on the art? Shouldn’t it have their own trademark?” Oh, honey. Sweet summer child. Let me explain how freelancing works in words small enough for you to follow. When a freelancer completes a commission, the final product often becomes the intellectual property of the client. This isn’t some nefarious scheme—it’s standard practice. ReaperScans owns the art because they paid for it. Do you think every contractor who builds a house gets to slap their name on the roof tiles? Do you think anyone selling a commissioned piece should be tattooing their personal brand on it like an insecure egomaniac? No, that’s not how property rights work. It’s not their art anymore, genius.

Then there’s your hilariously weak argument about ReaperScans’ credibility: “I find it hard to believe a pirate site can write their own original novel.” Oh, so your personal disbelief is now the metric by which truth is measured? What’s next, are you going to deny climate change because it feels chilly outside? Yes, ReaperScans is a pirate site. No, that doesn’t mean every single person they’ve ever worked with is incapable of original work. You’re taking their reputation for piracy and stretching it like a bad piece of fanfic logic to suggest they couldn’t possibly produce anything legitimate. But that’s just your baseless opinion dressed up as “fact,” and frankly, it’s embarrassing to watch you parade it around like some sort of intellectual victory lap.

Then we get to the pièce de résistance of your nonsense: “If you are doing a legit job, make sure the other party is also legit.” Wow. Revolutionary advice. I’m sure every freelancer in the world is frantically updating their business plans now that you’ve shared this invaluable wisdom. Here’s the thing, champ: in a perfect world, yes, people vet their clients. But freelancers often don’t have the time, resources, or power to do that kind of deep-dive investigation. Most clients don’t show up to negotiations waving a pirate flag and cackling about their evil plans—they present themselves professionally, pay up, and move on. Your “advice” boils down to criticizing someone for not being clairvoyant. Unless you’re going to fund an investigative team for every artist, maybe cool it with the sanctimony.

And let’s not ignore your smug attempt to declare victory with “I must’ve hit a nerve.” Oh, please. People responding to you isn’t proof of your brilliance; it’s proof that your argument is so flawed it practically begs for correction. You’re not hitting nerves—you’re just waving around bad takes like a drunk guy shouting into a megaphone at a library. If you truly believed you were right, you wouldn’t be relying on “I must’ve hit a nerve” as a crutch for your argument; you’d be building actual logic instead of setting up this flimsy self-congratulatory trap.

Finally, we come to your sign-off: “I’m done with numbnuts. Keep babbling.” Oh, look, the classic internet debate flounce. When the heat gets too much, declare yourself the winner and walk away like the intellectual coward you are. This is the rhetorical equivalent of throwing a rock at someone and running away because you’re afraid they might actually throw it back. If you’re so “done,” why are you even here? The only thing you’re proving is that your ego can’t handle being called out for spouting nonsense.

Your argument is as flimsy as the plot of a bad self-insert fanfic, riddled with logical fallacies, and dripping with unjustified arrogance. You haven’t hit a nerve; you’ve hit the limit of how far bad reasoning can carry you before it collapses under its own weight. Now go ahead—try to weasel out of this one.

You guys are arguing with someone who went braindead years ago. Right after they saw the first marvel movie. And I would know because I went braindead by vampire fiction. It takes one to know one.

Whatever makes you feel better. ??Oh, it's getting so much fun. Keep going. So many fangirls of the artist. You all are 100% sure its not the artist's fault. Living in denial is such a nice thing, no?

Ah, there it is—the classic internet flail of someone who knows they’ve lost but still wants to sound smug on their way down. "Living in denial is such a nice thing, no?" Oh, the irony of this coming from someone so allergic to facts they’ve built an entire personality around bad assumptions. Let’s be real here: this isn’t about logic or truth for you anymore—it’s pure, undiluted jealousy. You see an artist succeeding, working with big names (even if imperfect ones), and instead of clapping for their hustle, you’re foaming at the mouth because you’ll never touch that level of relevance. But sure, keep typing out ?? like it’s a mic drop instead of the digital equivalent of stomping your feet because nobody agrees with you. The only denial here is yours—pretending your petty bitterness counts as an argument.

Guys, y'all arguing with a WebNovel glazer. Don't waste your time.
Uumm... My point is still valid through. Reaperscans is an illegal pirate site. They got taken down many times before for stealing webtoon and novels of others calling it their own. They even scammed others of money (coins in the site you buy to read locked novels) And if you are working with someone isn't it normal to check if they are legit or not? So, yeah, sing all the praises you people want, you can't deny the fa

back in the discord, i see them posting a lot of wip of the same pic, working on the finer stuff steadily but surely. which apparent to me that thorkell is at least putting the 420% dedication to dem works.

WebNovel glazer?? I post my work on almost all public sites lol. Webnovel, SH, RR, HF, Wattpad, Kindle, Spacebattles.
So now we’ve landed at the “I don’t even draw, lol, I use AI” defense, AGAIN, which is supposed to what? Exonerate you from being jealous? Oh, how adorably transparent. Here’s the thing: jealousy isn’t limited to talent—it’s about relevance. You don’t need to pick up a pencil to seethe at someone who’s more respected, more visible, and actually contributing to the creative world while you sit here slapping together AI outputs and pretending it makes you an artist. Deep down, you know you’re not on the same level. That’s why you’ve been grasping at this pathetic crusade against a real creator, hoping to claw back some relevance by tearing them down.
And let’s talk about this fixation on ReaperScans as a “big name in piracy,” because it’s clear you think you’ve stumbled onto some kind of rhetorical goldmine. Hate to break it to you, but all you’ve done is repeat the same tired point while proving you don’t understand how the industry works. ReaperScans might be shady, but the artist didn’t hire them—they hired the artist. The distinction is obvious to anyone with a shred of critical thinking, which is probably why it’s flying right over your head.
Also, let’s not pretend your little sarcastic “Wow, so impressive” jabs are anything other than a last-ditch attempt to look smug while flailing in defeat. You’ve been backed into a corner, and the only thing left for you is weak sarcasm and laughing emojis, which—spoiler alert—don’t count as arguments. The harder you try to appear unbothered, the more obvious it is that you’re cracking under the weight of your own irrelevance. It’s like watching a child knock over a chessboard when they realize they’re about to lose. Cute, but ultimately pathetic.
So here’s the bottom line: you’ve gone from accusing the artist of being complicit in piracy to desperately asserting, “I don’t even draw, so I can’t be jealous!” as if anyone cares what tools you use. The reality is that your entire argument was built on bad logic, sustained by bitterness, and now lies in ruins, much like your credibility. You’re not here to make a point—you’re here to try and feel superior to someone who’s leagues ahead of you in every way. And the worst part? It’s painfully obvious to everyone but you.
So go ahead, drop another ?? or another “I’m done lol,” because that’s the only move you have left: pretending to walk away like you’ve “won” when, in reality, you’ve been thoroughly dismantled. You’re not fooling anyone.
