    Traditional Publishing or Self Publishing?

I've encountered a lot of authors over the years and discussed with them about publishing through a company or self publishing their own works. There are a lot of pros and cons to both sides. What would you chose? Personally, I went down the self publishing route, which is a lot of work to do...

How would you feel about someone pointing out typos/grammatical errors in every chapter?

It helps if they are asking for or expecting feedback. I've encountered people who get really upset when you point out their errors on their works on comments and such without asking permission. Overall, DM them asking if you can make grammar suggestions to improve/clarify their work before...

What do you do when you hate a core part of your story?

Typically when there is something that makes your character hard to root for is also a way to write in overcoming the issue and being worthy to root for. Everyone in a story and life have obstacles and poor choices that they can choose to do better and grow stronger. Despite it being a simple...

Is juggling different projects a good idea?

I recently have been bouncing between two projects. Honestly, have your outline and notes for each story separate and available so you don't forget what ideas you have for where you're going for each project. You could also make a schedule for what story you focus on for each day so you evenly...

What is the biggest mistake a new writer can make?

Getting caught up in editing while writing the first draft. I often speak with new writers and they ask for feedback while in the middle of writing their first story, which is a mistake. First time writers need to write out their story how the envision it first. If they get caught up in taking...

Is it wrong to use ai art?

I think AI is a great tool for artists to use to help draft out ideas or fill in the missing pieces to an art piece. I don't think you need to feel guilty for not being able to afford paying an artist when you could use AI for a temporary cover. You can always redesign your cover at any time...

Now that I have a computer...

Steam is better for PC. While Xbox is cross platform on PC, I still prefer using Steam. People that play PC use steam, that's where you'll connect and game with people on PC. Stardew is always a good game to play for relaxing grinding game, along with Minecraft. I tend to play more shooters and...

Do you read smut in public?

I think it's fine, unless someone else who is a fellow reader knows what the book is and what you're reading, and then it depends on how embarrassed you'd be being caught reading it. I haven't encountered a situation where someone reads what I am reading (over the shoulder), or looks up a book I...

    Physical Copy or Digital Copy?

What is your preference when reading a book? Digital or physical print? Personally, I love physical copies. Digital books hurt and strain my eyes, and it also makes it harder for me to focus on a screen. A physical copy allows me to visualize my progress, its not as hard on my eyes, and I just...

    Attention to Detail

I am very much a person that loves attention to detail in my writing and whatever I am reading. I love to picture everything exactly in the book. What is everyone's preference on detail orientation in writing/reading?

For you what makes a Villian, a good villian

I like when Villains have realistic characteristics to them, like liking silly things or have relatable experiences and or personality traits. I also think they are good when their purpose for their ways are valid, even if it's valid through their eyes. Backstory and the glimpse through their...

    Happy writing

Someone who edited my book told me that the narrator is/can also be a character in your book, even if it's third person narrative. They said something about not trusting the narrator for some reason and it threw me off, but it made me realize it's a character too whether it's obvious or not. Not...

Your MC is challenged to a Yugioh card game.

My MC has a skill to learn at a higher rate, so luckily two weeks would give her enough time to learn the game and practice it. When it comes down to the battle, she remembers to withhold her mind reading abilities and heightened intelligence, despite how tempting it is to use them and cheat...

Do you guys use ai or actually artists for your covers

I think AI is a useful tool for artists to use, and I know artists who use AI to help draft out ideas or fill in parts of their art. I personally commission artists for my covers for published projects, but AI was used to fill in missing pieces when creating the final piece. Answer: both.

    high vs low review scores

I would say: one star rating sticks out to me. I see it and wonder why, and then I read it myself to see if it's worthy of a one star rating. I think that's why, because a negative review sticks out more than positive reviews. Kinda smart tactic not gonna lie.

    Advice to Yourself

When we all first started writing, we weren't the best at it... Is there any advice you'd give yourself in the past that would have helped you back then? (Mine would be: use chapters... I didn't use chapters because I thought they weren't important. So, when I finished writing, I had 300 pages...

You know that feeling when you are excited for a second, only to realize that that excitement is foolish?

Awe I feel that, sometimes I don't get how the ranking system works when its compared to the reading views. This also goes for reading views compared to the amount of comments, I think feedback in general is most important to a writer.

Is Your MC your favorite character?

In my published work, I actually wouldn't say my main character is my favorite character. I love her, she's great and important to the story, but some of my other characters I enjoy more because of their personalities and their dynamics they have in the story.
