On the Proper Placement of Illustrations Within a Chapter

I would put the picture at the right moment in the story. In a battle chapter, that would mean I will put a finishing move scene, a character's entrance, a "waht a tweest" moment, or such. So the picture matches the scene. Doesn't have to be in the beginning or ending, so long as it's well timed.

    Help with sentence

I hope OP is as old as me here lol. Maybe it sounds old school, but where I live, envelopes are still widely used. I don't think you need to replace the analogy. Though, I'd suggest slight editing for easier read. Added cadence and a full stop. Letting your readers pause in a long sentence...

What clichés of talk do you avoid in your fiction?

I don't do this, but I still can't shake off the "stay with me" panicked dialogue. I use "you okay" for comedic effect most of the time. I don't avoid a specific type of other dialogues yet. Maybe when I write more I'll get to learn a few

"AI Syntax" puts me off from reading further. Is it just me?

I still use em-dashes to interrupt dialogues

What's the most epic attack you've ever written in fiction?

Ellie's Tiger Fist. Chapter 39 of my Novel. Just a fancy alias of One Inch Punch. Able to send her foe nearly 100 meters away. But it broke her fist.

Thoughts of putting racism in your works

I try my best to tread on this topic carefully. For now, I haven't used slur, but might use that for fictional groups of people. Or simply tie the slurs to where a person came from (as in places) regardless of race and ethnicity.

One Universe with Multi-Series, Which Meets in the Main Conflict of the Main Series?

If MC gets to befriend said antagonists after defeating them, that's the kind of my stories. But I don't think I have time to write all that. So I limit that to my current main story and another yet to be posted here spinoff. As for your questions: 1. So long as it's done well, it's cool 2...

    Not yet, but I will.

As an author, how do you feel when writing villains who commit crimes or immoral acts?

I hate despots with every ounce of my life, so I don't feel bad writing them as despicable villains they are.

This is a first for me when it comes to writing, so feedback is much appreciated

I can't help much at the moment because I'm traveling and I don't have access to a PC. But I can help with some suggestions. First, you have too-long paragraphs. Viewed from a phone, they become ten or even twenty lines long paragraphs. You don't want that. Not in a webnovel. Because such...

Writing What unique eye skills have you developed in your fiction?

Nothing too fancy. Maybe something like Kengan (fist-eye) from Kengan Ashura, some sort of kinetic eye sight. Cassa, the magic-less MC of mine has this. It allows him to perceive his foes' attack patterns in slow-motion and formulate counters. Besides that, there are also the dwarves who have...

    Story feedback request

Let's see. I do often write long descriptions, but now I'd cut most and distribute them only when the details become relevant. I'd also simplify most descriptions. If I can describe something in five words, I wouldn't do it in twenty. Maybe ten, but that's only for flavor. I'd avoid anything...

Is it hard getting views on scribble hub then Webnovel?

So is mine. It's common for stories with less than 50 chapters and 100k words. Give it time. Post your chapters regularly. Of course, also Improve your writing and cover when you can. You posted 15 chapters at once. That's your first problem. You should have posted them one by one, at least...

Writing What is the biggest stake that you narrate in creating conflict?

In my latest published chapters, the stake is "we'll go to another war with elves if this envoy mission fails." The casts want to avoid that. Especially the second MC, whose parents came from both sides of the imminent conflict. So it could feel personal, especially when it starts in chapter 25...

    Posting on Patreon question

Thankfully, I always keep a copy of my formatted chapters locally. SH is already rich-text compatible anyway, so what I write and format here will carry over if copy pasted to MS Word/LibreOffice Writer and vice versa. Few clicks away from "convert to pdf" and done. Unfortunately, you can't...
