Is the amount of readers supposed to increase when someone drops a story?

Reader counts include dropped lists. Someone was probably reading your story in a browser or something--not using the reading list-- and then added it to their Dropped list when they stopped reading.

Name a weakness in your novel

This feels like proof that authors are our own worst critics, because I didn't get that impression at all reading the first two chapters. So far your conversations and writing style have worked together to create a very graphic depiction of the world, and have captured the characters well. They...

    Is it worth it?

An update a week is incredibly reasonable. If you want to write ahead to have a little buffer just in case, that might be a good idea if you're aiming for consistency or specifically trying to gain new readers. But if you're writing to write, update whenever you want. Lol.

Using tags that will appear in the future.

I would tag things coming up. It gives the reader a better idea of what they signed up for at the start.

How would you describe your main protagonist as poorly as possible?

*casually adds books to the TBR collection* Veteran game player wishes she'd minded her own business, because she did not sign up to babysit a serial killer that keeps flirting with her. Teenage slave getting really tired of his new master trying to be his Dad. Office worker adopts ghost...

    Collapse/Expand Author Signature on Forums?

Funny enough, that's a feature I don't like. Lol. Bc I like seeing signatures but hate reading in landscape. XD

    Collapse/Expand Author Signature on Forums?

For the feature he wants, everyone using a sig would need to use the Spoiler tag on their sigs. Which they don't. LOL. I get the appeal. You want to browse without sigs but still want to see them when needed without going to profiles.

A community project. Story for our beloved vampire lover.

Way to go @greyblob ! :D Another great addition~ I'm working on a little something for a third part. It'll probably be short b/c I may have gotten a little busy with my own self indulgent evil vampire lady story... >.> Edit: There you go: Part 3

Do you write out of chronological order?

I'm a pantser so I tend to write in order, but every so often I'll write ahead if I think of something good I don't want to forget. It's usually a scene though, not a full chapter. Now, for my published work I have gone back and added chapters if I felt things needed more fleshing out or setup...

When is a content warning required?

I feel this way about the "gore" warning. The violence in my story is more than PG13, so i want to have a content warning, but it's no where near what I would consider "Gore." I wish there was a tamer "Blood and Violence" option. Though in this case, if you have talk about sexual things in...

Do you think Scribblehub should ban ai generated novels?

The site content guidelines already don't allow stories primarily written with AI, which I appreciate. Sadly, like AO3, I don't think there is a way to bam it without taking out legitimate works since moat detection software is useless. I personally think generating stories with AI defeats...

What are your favorite seafood dishes?

Softshell crab. You have to wait for it to be in season for the good stuff, but man. It is so good deep fried on a bun. T-T Shrimp Po'boy's are my next go to. Any fried shellfish, really. Lol.

A community project. Story for our beloved vampire lover.

For Edgy, think Sonic Villains. Shadow. Infinite. Etc. They embrace the look and take themselves seriously. They are also delusional about their coolness, but you know Edge when you see it. Lol.

A community project. Story for our beloved vampire lover.

If it helps, you did inspire me to suck it up and just start the story I've been thinking about since Envy posted that thread. Lol. One draft chapter done. XD I also wouldn't mind helping with this one. I can do something for chapter 3. Your project should succeed!

That's amazing. After Envy made that post, I also wanted to read something like it. Still like two seconds away from just writing it myself, but this is great in the meantime. Kudos. Edit: I also read it. Lol. Good start!

Do you have any tips to increase your writing speed?

If it's about typing speed, learn Touch Typing and practice: https://www.typingclub.com/ You should be typing without looking at the keyboard ever. XD Edit: I looked back up and saw you already type at 75wpm. Lol. That's above average. So I'm sure with more practice you'll get to the 90 to 100...
