Adventurer's Guild [AGSA] Adventurer's Guild Sky Archipelago - OOC Room

I know this is totally unrelated, but I want to hear your thoughts on this draft. Is this how you write in the past tense?

Adventurer's Guild [AGSA] Adventurer's Guild Sky Archipelago - OOC Room

Nice. Is there someone that I can roleplay with?

Adventurer's Guild [AGSA] Adventurer's Guild Sky Archipelago - OOC Room

Well, I guess I need a writing partner then. Do I have to write a novel first before roleplaying?

Are there NPCs that I can interact with?

Adventurer's Guild [AGSA] Adventurer's Guild Sky Archipelago - OOC Room

Nice. I'm joining because I have been struggling with using tenses, which are the past tense and the present tense. But otherwise, I haven't decided to join yet, so it's still under consideration.

So I read a little bit of this, and I'm not sure if it's written in the past tense or the present tense. Just a fair warning, some light novels on this website are poorly written English translations of Japanese, Korean, and Chinese ones...

I think I'll go with using the past tense. If you want, you can tell me what to change, and I'll edit it from there. Are you okay with that?

Cool. I might give ProWritingAid a chance. Did you notice any issues in the prologue of my story regarding tenses?

That's not what I meant. I meant as in English grammar. I appreciate your advice, though. lol Nice. I like your advice very much. I do use Grammarly. I used ProWritingAid before, but it wasn't my cup of tea. Will do. I don't want to read too many books, though.

In need of advice, would you tell me more about tenses in general and how I can make my writing clearer? I watched some videos about it, but I could hardly understand it. Any help would be appreciated. @Snusmumriken @KoyukiMegumi

That's good to hear. I'm trying not to give up on writing again, so I'm trying my best.

Wow, I strongly agree with your point. I do want to write a serious piece, but it seems to be anything but that. As I said, it's not meant to be read like a documentary; it's meant to be read like fiction, and anything that has to do with fiction means fantasy, worldbuilding, and the like...

    Feedbacks Are Welcome

I agree with your remark. I'm not the best at telling the difference between past tense and present tense. It's a common habit and mistake I make all the time while at the same time thinking it's a natural way to write. I'm autistic, so that's another reason. It does make the writing confusing...
