It depends on what your characters like, really. Do they have any particular interests?

    A few little ideas

There is such a thing as a one star story? Definitely. Here are some one-star stories I've encountered in other places: A short BL story claiming to be a romantic stories of two lovers meeting. It was seven chapters long and every chapter was just a miserable, unfunny rape-joke that the poor...

    A few little ideas

It's not trolls that's the problem, it's people genuinely not liking a story or not liking a story in the "right way" for the author that we'd have to worry about. If it makes you feel any better, readers who are considering your story don't care about the ratings. At all.

    A few little ideas

Honestly, I've been thinking about trying to fund a review-based reading race for this place for a while. I can only do GL, though, and I'll need both the money and the free time to get it together. (Overlapping Yuri Garden events kills me, it turns out.)

    A few little ideas

I think it's somehow more difficult to leave reviews here because you know the authors are watching intently. The option to leave a review is very out of the way, too. I'm also pretty cautious about leaving comments, even though I really want to, because I somehow managed to make my favourite...

    Category Tab

Can I suggest making both a "Transgender" genre and keeping the "Transgender" tag? Some novels will have transgender characters but won't be specifically themed around it. Having it as a genre would probably help the TGST stories have a more accurate "Related Series" section, though.

No need to be passive aggressive. I'm not fragile. And my understanding of that situation is far, far different from yours. Edit: Also, I wasn't referring specifically to that event.

    A few little ideas

I mean, I would do this, but I wouldn't bother putting anything of one-star quality on my reading list to begin with. I wouldn't want it for every story (way, way too cluttered), but it would be nice to get notifications for the few series I'm waiting on the edge of my seat for. The sooner I...

Resolved New Story from Author Notification

You're right, there are no notifications for new chapter releases - you have to check your reading list to see updates. I think there were some requests for notifications for this when Scribble Hub was first made, but they went quiet after a time.

[RELEASED] The Yuri Garden Collaborative Anthology Event

I'm glad to say that the Yuri Garden Collaborative Anthology event has finally finished its preparation stage and the resulting stories are now being released to the public~! To fit with the "9 Nights" theme, we're releasing one story every night at 9pm (British Summer Time). Each author has...

@Assurbanipal_II I left a light-hearted joke in the comments of a story I read and I received a guilt trip/lecture from the author. The situation was later cleared up a little, but... This kind of attitude from writers is way too common on SH. Interacting with authors here sometimes feels like...

    Site etiquette question

I think (not entirely 100% sure) that batch releases actually stack in the "Latest Updates" section, so you would only show up once per story when you add them at the same time.

How do you write a villain people love to hate?

Showing their worst crimes in detail is a bad idea, really. People can distance themselves from things like rape and murder if they don't have to "see" it, and just hinting that they have those sinister intentions for your characters is enough. It can become too much for readers if they have to...

    Little rant

I mean, whenever I rate a story one star, it's for pretty unique reasons. I don't think a checklist will be enough to sufficiently sum up what makes someone hate it, and it's only going to be an extra few clicks for the trolls, so I don't think it will make a difference. Bro, you can't breathe...
