I've just watched Lord of the Rings for the first time. Wasn't impressed...

Yeah. I'd like some milk in it, but there isn't any... Taste and preference grow and change, indeed. I admit although I still like lots of kid shows I watched when I was young, I also realize I'm seeing it from an adult perspective now. And most of the fondness comes from nostalgia...

I've just watched Lord of the Rings for the first time. Wasn't impressed...

It's called Omniscient POV. Lots of English mainstream novels these days are usually written in third person limited or even deep POV. Omniscient is pretty common in web novels, though (at least the POV is highly flexible here).

I've just watched Lord of the Rings for the first time. Wasn't impressed...

That's one of the things I like about that movie. Friendship is just beautiful, man, especially a super loyal one like this. At first I thought there's gonna be some kind of drama between the two later on, but when I heard Sam calling Frodo Mr. Frodo, the thought vanished instantly. The man got...

Good idea. But won't the hardcore fans think I'm weird once I use the word moe to describe the Hobbits?

The elf ladies are beautiful, but I wouldn't call them waifus if you know what I mean.

I've just watched Lord of the Rings for the first time. Wasn't impressed...

I'm genuinely disappointed, believe me. I wanna enjoy the trilogy because of the epicness of it, how beautiful it is, and how much efforts were put in it. Such a classic on my to-watch list, down the drain just because of a lack of waifus... :blob_teary:

I've just watched Lord of the Rings for the first time. Wasn't impressed...

Come on. It's not easy to find yourself not enjoying something you've thought you would enjoy just because it has no waifus in it. Web novels and Isekai anime changed me~

I've just watched Lord of the Rings for the first time. Wasn't impressed...

I've heard the name Lord of the Rings for a long time but hadn't quite gotten to it until yesterday. Now, a few days before I'd finished all of the Hobbit trilogy. They certainly get a bad rep, and for good reasons. I found myself getting bored most of the time, but there were also moments when...

When does a newly posted story show up?

Within 12 hours, if I remember correctly.

Am I the only one who prefer really long anime?

I've seen lots of people feel intimidated by the length of One Piece. It's understandable if you're not used to long form storytelling. I grew up watching long anime, so I'm used to it. Not just used to, though, I actually prefer it. The ending is not important to me, I'm all about the journey...

I kept mine on a shelf somewhere. Takes time to grow hair that long. Better keep it as a memento~

do you ever feel like everybody's playing along

Of course. That's why I've always come off as a rebel ever since I was a kid. Why? Because I question things that don't make sense. Religion, for instance, has plenty of things that don't make sense now, but I can certainly imagine how important they must be back in the olden days. It always...
