Turns out I am dense af

There is a penalty to your speech check when you choose to reroll, so it's harder to get a better result. You can easily get a worse result, though.

What's the first anime you have watched?

Not counting Pokemon, the first anime I saw was Mononoke Hime. It still holds a special place in my heart.

"Dropped Story" - When and Why?

If you know who dropped your story and their reading list is public, you can see the status where they left off in there. Assuming they kept it up to date.

Pov: looking for a nice book.

You can try Blue Core. ...the smut is optional in it. It's also not a traditional dungeon core novel. Alternatively, Thieves' Dungeon, Saga of the Soul Dungeon, or The Abyssal Dungeon... only the first of which is complete, and the last has been stuck on hiatus for the past two years.

A Treatise on the Efficacy of Golemancy as opposed to Necromancy - A Dark Lord's How-To

You can tell this post was made by a golemancer, probably one who was insulted and/or bested by a necromancer before :blob_cookie:

Writing I have a gimmick, but no story

I'm no writer, but I would say, if you have a gimmick, know what it does and what is its purpose, you can go from there. You say it's to have kick-a** fight scenes, so you can start by creating a fight scene. Build the "arena" for the fight. Create the characters who are fighting. String the...

    How do readers react?

As a reader myself, if you give a heads up for the change, there's no issue, as long as you put out something now and then, consistently, even if not regularly. There are authors who drop a chapter or three in a week, and then go missing for months. Those are frustrating to read.

Recommendations Any stories where the strategy is the main focus?

This might not be quite what you're looking for, but... The Eagle's Flight (used to be on SH and RR, but I think it's only on Amazon now, with only the first chapter on RR) is a novel where strategy is a focus, though perhaps not the main focus, much less the sole focus. There are politics...

    Best fantasy race in romance

I mean, bovine head is the single biggest defining trait of minotaurs. Take that away, and you have a regular cow girl. That said, I'll have to join the Vampire camp.

    A balanced power

The ability to strike the enemy with exactly the same force they are applying against you. It's perfectly balanced, and forces him to rely on others if he wants any other result than a stalemate.

    Checkpoint system

The very nature of this system would mean there can be no real stakes in the story, no sense of danger or tension, if the MC can go back any time. Even the scrolling speed is nothing more than a gimmick that might discourage overuse, but has no practical impact, since the MC can scroll it while...

Curse of being a non native English speaker

It's funny, often I know the meaning of the words, but not their translation into my native languge.

Choose a simple super power and the first person to reply can choose it's side effect

The wings emit rainbow and glitter constantly, and any time you're not in contact with the ground, Nyan Cat plays audibly around you.

I'd like to ask your opinion...

This. I understand why people like shorter chapters, either short attention span or just reading in whatever short breaks they get between other stuff, and don't like searching for where they ended or interrupting their reading mid-chapter. But on the other hand, I too like long chapters of...

I need extra pair of eyes!

Personally I prefer 3, but I agree with what was said before, it would be better without so much of the title covered up. I will also note the white text on 2 and 1 especially tends to blend in with the light background. It is readable, certainly, but not a desirable effect.

What do you consider to be generic Isekai Fantasy?

Average protagonist, medieval Europe inspired setting, common fantasy races, humans enslaving everyone, uninspired villains and overly game-like system controlling most of everything. Of those, I only really hate system stuff, because I rarely see it done well.

    Time traveling

I'm not too familiar with the Terminator universe, but I think there were at least two divergent timelines? I was thinking more Harry potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Harry sees someone who looks like his father casting the Patronus spell, but then travels back in time and realizes it was...

    Time traveling

One of my pet theories is that you can't change the past, because everything you might do in the past has already happened and you are already living through the result, you just don't know it.
