    What's a good views/chapter reads ratio?

But what are "professional writers"? Isn't the difference between an amateur and a professional writer something in the headspace of the writer. The way they approach writing. The goal they are trying to approach. If people sit down 2,3,4 hours a day over a long time... what's the difference? I...

What would happen if someone post the Holy Bible?

Depends on the book. The holy bible has multiple instances where - following the usual of the time - underaged characters where married and had children. Those sexual acts would be a clear violation of the content guidelines and people could report the bible and get it taken down...

    What's a good views/chapter reads ratio?

We had a discussion about that back then on RR and the biggest group (according to subjective experiences) was around 100 pages, which translates to roughly 25k words. Going by SH chapter lengths that would be 10-20 chapters. Although I would say, that your update schedule also has a really big...

    What's a good views/chapter reads ratio?

As @Aaky pointed out, you can't really use the reads/view ratio for that. But a simple thing would be, to compare your frontpage views with your first chapter reads. Going with your romance novel, your frontpage had 3.5k views (all views that aren't chapter views). Your first chapter had 480...

What would happen if someone post the Holy Bible?

Though interestingly enough, that would only be the case for the original texts and the older versions. Many of the modern translations (which would probably the ones someone would take and post here) are still under copyright. So it's either posting some version nobody can read or translating...

    Writing Ahead

I plan ahead (and write short drafts/reminders) for multiple volumes in advance. I plan in detail (chapter level) for the current volume so that I have a clear writing prompt for each chapter. But actual writing is only 1,2 chapters if any. I don't have a patreon, so I mostly just throw them...

How do you deal with declining valid reads?

You'll make people angry again. :blobrofl: Next: author complains about lack of comments, another one adds the missing reviews, and we are back to a discussion about the Ratings system... "The same as last year?" "The same as every year." :blob_party:

How do you deal with declining valid reads?

The hobby band feels like shit when nobody comes to their gig. The same as writers look how many readers enjoy their work... Sadly those numbers are updated in real time and not every few weeks. Imagine a band would see their ticket sales drop every time they fail during practice... they would...

Im not sure if i should continue my story, can I PLEASE get some feedback!?

Easy fix for OP's sports novel here on SH: Steal the whole "my sword is actual a little girl spirit" and make the MC's racing gear able to transform into girls when he isn't racing. Now you can throw in all the harem litrpg elements you need, as the MC has to learn how to ride his girls. Both...

How to: use story theory to plan arcs

From both writing myself and working as an editor I discovered, that a lot of people actually have less writer's block if you use structure rules and constraints. If you say "write any scene you want" most people will have a really hard time to decide, because there are so many possibilities...
