@Discount_Blade San Diego is nice. Clean for the most part, a decent amount of tourists, but not overwhelming. LA is just... I don’t know how to explain it. Parts of the valley are nice, a few spots in central aren’t bad, but garbage, crap, and other things are horrendous. I lived close to...
@Discount_Blade It has to be the plane red brick buildings, constant overcast sky, abandoned houses, and smokestacks everywhere you look. Other than that, Buffalo’s a pretty cheery place.
Garbage bags of DVD’s on street corners, people tapping your shoulders while walking trying to pawn watches, and hidden rooms full of purses. Well, I’m kinda old so maybe things have changed. At least the DVD’s.
Chinatown when my exes relatives visit was a ton of fun too. Buying knockoffs was a sport to them, and I remember going up a stairwell that looked like a horror movie. Then we had to crawl through holes in two walls, so we could look at purses. ?
@minacia My friend hit someone crossing, making a left is a nightmare and he was inching his way through. It wasn’t funny, but it kind of is funny. Because he bumped into them, and it was clear this wasn’t a first for either. It became a stare down and posturing.
People really underestimate how dirty the city is. Like, that spoiled smell of who knows what down every alley in the summer that wafts through like a jet of stink on a windy day. It clings to you.
The lady next to the bathroom said something that shouldn’t be repeated, and they guy walked back up the car, shit all the way down to his shoes apologizing. “I’m sorry I’m sorry. I’m an alcoholic, happy New Years.” Best part, one of the employees came with a newspaper and dropped it on the...
@Discount_Blade We left early because there was no point. Got back on the train to go to Poughkeepsie where we parked, and the funniest thing happened. A guy wearing white pants ran down our car farting. He tried to enter the bathroom but someone was inside. Ended up shitting himself.
I went to the city with friends quite a bit when I was in HS. Took a bus down, but after a while it’s not as fun as you think it will be. I went to Times Square for New Years once though, and although that sucked, the train ride home was glorious
I’m from the Catskills, then Albany. I’m just thinking, that if you’re in the city, wrong think would cause quite a bit of social distancing for you. Aren’t you getting snow right now though? They’re calling for 20+” in my hometown
