    Start 'en media res', in the middle of an action scene. Ax the prologue chapter with truck-kun and filler text about the System, Psychopomp, and/or letter from Hogwartz. The readers don't need it. More broadly, for any passage, ask if it advances the story or contributes to an interesting mood.
