  • I only believe in ethical conspiracy theories. No race or religion stuff. Just extraterrestrials, elites (of all genders, colors, and beliefs), and lost civilizations

Yeah, pretty much. It's just such a bizarre and hilarious way to articulate the argument that I can't help but think about it from time to time :blob_hmm:

His "ideal sex" involved no futas so I am inclined to disagree.

Did somebody ask for more emo music recommendations?

This track was a staple of the emo revival circa the mid 2010s. Raw, DIY performances and production. Slick twinkly licks. The lyrics are also kinda juvenile (in a good way) and all the more heartbreaking if you think about them too much. Just a kid trying to cope with the absence of his mother.

The way they managed to create complex, grand civilizations in their own corner of the world--converging towards and diverging from how the old world built their civilizations. The Inca had no writing, but made things work with their quipu knots. The Mayans of course had the astronomy thing going on and a developed writing system.

And oh boy the Aztecs where do I even start :blob_aww:

One of the largest cities in the world at the time-- built on a lake, with aqueducts and waste management. All done without large domesticated animals, the wheel, or the type of metal tools that built the old world's cities

If I had a time machine, Tenochtitlan would definitely be my first stop. Hopefully without getting sacrificed

Sad dad band americ anfootball recently announced the upcoming release of their 4th self-titled album. This means we're in for a #WhiteBoySummer

I'm excited to see what new sound they're gonna bring to the record. The twinkly dreampop of their last record was a welcome departure from their indie-emo roots, but I hope the band tries something new.
Been getting a lot of Mussolini: Son of the Century clips and they're mostly just the guy turning to the camera and doing this in reaction to everything he's seeing

Have I recommended this one before? I don't know. Much like how I don't know what the fuck was going on in Europe in the 80s. Lots of weird shit going on over there. The Cold War does funny things, I guess
I know it's fun to dunk on anime fans who think that more anime should focus on adult characters instead of teenagers all the time, but I will take this opportunity to say that I am one such fan.

I think that more anime should focus on grownups. Why?

Because children and teens should focus 100% on school instead of cartoons so they can grow up to become the shareholder maximizers the world needs.

Honestly, I feel like anime should focus more on the setting rather than on the characters. Ghibli did a pretty damn good job at that; the characters, whether kids or elders, revolved around the world, not the other way around.

@unlaumy honestly that's what's already happening. stay woke, keep your eyes open

@JayMark I wouldn't mind even just a switch to college students. At least then they can have more of their own fashion sense instead of being stuck in a school uniform most episodes :blob_hmm:

@L1aei I do tend to fixate on characters more, but yeah, that's a pretty underexplored approach. Then again, not many people in the industry are as talented as the folks over at Ghibli
