June makes me think of summer despite living in a tropical country. Hey, a man can fantasize, can't he? And when I think of summer, I think of some good old midwest emo.

You can just feel and maybe even smell ? the sweat oozing out of this one. The guitar work is a masterclass in spontaneity.
Maybe my brain is glitching, but I find Nightreign to be more fun than ER. I have not played it, and didn't watch a lot of streams, so it might skew my decision. Nevertheless, I think it's more fun, in co-op of course.

I think if you can find two teammates that are willing to spend a lot of time on the game, 20-30 hours, it is going to be fun and worth the money.

Either that or it'd absolutely ruin the friendship. Instead of raging by yourself, you'll now be able to rage at your friends :blob_aww:

If the bosses are good, I can really see Nightreign being an enduring hit. Reception around the game's currently a bit mixed though :blob_hmm:

If only I had the device and the friends to actually play it and see for myself.

I can see why it is mixed. Because it is clunky, and it's not a 'real' game. It is a Frankenstein made out of all the assets FromSoft amassed through the years.
Frutiger aero was hideous, I'm not even gonna lie. It tastes like fossil fuel companies pretending to care about climate change.

Fuck Africa (the song). It's overrated.

Rosanna though, now that's a finger snapper. This shit's got 2 absolute killer guitar solos courtesy of Steve Lukather. And it's got the late great Jeff Porcaro laying out that groove that feels like cigarettes after sex (not the band). This is Toto firing on all cylinders and it's tight, tight, tight.
Rule #e^(iπ)+1 (idk if this is correct notation)

Soulsborne games are the ultimate kanji reading test for Japanese-speaking vtubers.
I'm trying to write a short story for a competition that's due in 3 days and boy am I struggling :blob_no:

I don't even think these words are forming a coherent story
Watching Elden Ring Nightreign gameplay right now, and ngl

    This looks like slop ?

Since I started, I am going to mention it. The elephant in the room. Open World. I love exploring worlds. I loved exploring DS1, DS3, and even DS2. I went in blind into ER, Limgrave was fine, I enjoyed it. The rest however was trash. I understand not everyone explore every little corner and it's a me problem. But shittiness of ER's open world doesn't stop at lacking proper rewards for exploring every nook and cranny

It is beautiful, sure, there is SOME enviromental storytelling, but oh my god it's empty, SO fucking long and empty, and rewards? For doing a secret questline reward is a fight... with another copypasted dragon... Yeah, I know, we get a sword, but I consider bossess to be as much of a reward... When they are good...

I feel like simplicity and minimalism are key aspects of the Soulsborne identity, for better or for worse, and the flaws definitely do start showing themselves once they're applied to an open world, something that doesn't necessarily benefit from simplicity and minimalism :blob_hmm:

Though overall, I still find the game worthwhile in spite of this design conflict.

I'm running out of music that I'm actually super passionate about, so here's a song from my childhood instead.

This song's such a vibe, man. Imagine this playing in an ice rink and you're skating around with the person you've taken a shine to. They look at you and you look at them, and the ticket guy does a bump of cocaine inside his booth.

What the fuck was bro's problem ?

    The award was for:
"for her musical flow of voices and counter-voices in novels and plays that with extraordinary linguistic zeal reveal the absurdity of society's clichés and their subjugating power"

To borrow the modern lingo, she was awarded for being woke? and he didn't like it?

Holy shit, Kazuo Ishiguro, take it easy, awarded for:
"who, in novels of great emotional force, has uncovered the abyss beneath our illusory sense of connection with the world"

I'd betray my people for a shawarma right now like damn
I just don't think we get very many great names anymore.

Soren Kierkegaard? Fucking kickass. Ulysses S. Grant? Literally the only thing I know about him is his name. Toussaint Louverture? Holy shit. Alexander the Great? You mean to tell me they just happened to name him that?
I watched like 1 or 2 videos about Thomas Sankara and now my YT feed is trying to get me to help free Africa from the chains of neocolonialism. How do I get back to etymology shorts and pop science content?

I'm also getting Countryball content. This is how I know I gotta put the brakes.

I'll go watch some tree-flavored ice cream videos

That was a very weird time. The world banded together for a second, felt good about it, then forgot about it afterwards, and they never even found the guy. Then the original documentary filmmaker had a mental episode where he got naked on the street.

Idk this is like, my favorite Foo Fighters song for some reason. It just feels nice, like integrated public transport and social safety nets.
I'm glad that malls are still far from dying here. The death of the shopping mall is the death of civilization.

Malls are still too much of a social hub here, especially in smaller cities. It'll take a while, hopefully not while I'm still young so that I don't grow super nostalgic about them :blob_no:

I hate the fact that most malls don't have benches anymore.

If I want to sit or god forbid, sit with people, it is straight to forking money and hog a table in starbucks or random mall stall.
