  • I remembered something in Phantom Brave to really help with stat increase. The short version is, apply Failure title to weapon, then combine a stronger weapon into it to dramatically boost stats.

When you replace the Failure title with something else, the stat boost is enormous.

Also, special titles are a pain in the ass to get. However, they are the only way to get some special skills.

One more thing, it takes two runs at 99 floors to max a title. Leaving and entering does not affect this, but if you go down a dungeon with lower floors.

There is something about a cap. To cut it short, if the cap isn’t exceeded or something. Your title stats will first decrease trying to level out, before increasing.

To avoid this, dive down 99 floors. It will pick up where it left off.
    Phantom Brave Guiding Tips.

For raising Phantoms and getting weapons easier. Always apply the Failure title to a dungeon. Failure reduces stats of enemies by 80%, but boosts the exp rate for Phantoms.

Each object raises a stat, you’ll be doing a lot of combining. So, to make things easier. You can get a bottle mail by stacking objects at the base to the highest point.

This is also factored in by level difference. Higher steal makes it easier to defend against enemies trying to steal from you.

Guard is how much damage the weapon you have equipped absorbs, higher amount means less damage your character takes.

Steal also influences the rate in which items are brought back, and can significantly reduce the levels needed to get 100% rate.

Also, Speed Stat is most important. Enemies can’t get a turn so long as you are faster. The greater your Speed stat, the longer it takes for their turn to come around.

To extend Marona’s turn. A quick thing you can do is summon a Phantom with Quick Attack, this restructures the turn order, and will give her one more turn.
    Vita et Mors,

    Chapter 9.5: Eternal Promise

Has landed, this concludes the secondary timeline. Which leaves the finale and a Bonus Scene left to go on here.

There is something for the observant readers, if you’ve been paying attention to the chapter titles. You’ll notice something in the first part of the finale and last part of the finale.

These titles were carefully chosen for a reason. :blob_popcorn:
As Vita et Mors draw closer to the end, getting more views than normal. I know peeps likely jumped over to RR to read it.

Though, I guess peeps must be binge reading it now as well. Midnight EST is when Chapter 9.5 will land. Then it is three parts to the finale, and a Bonus Scene left to go. :blob_popcorn:

Val is not responsible for what happens in the next scene. :blob_reach:
I forgot how long each chapter is in Phantom Brave. First Chapter was like 7 episodes. Then again, I did went on a grind fest to get up to 20k in stats.

    And doubled those stats. :blob_reach:
If you ever have a chance to play Phantom Brave. I highly recommend it. It is actually one of the best games NIS made.

Very strong story, creatively unique system, highly strategical. While grind heavy, you actually don’t need to. Grinding is for more end game stuff.

The game however has a pretty steep learning curve. To cut things a bit short, to make your life a lot easier. Focus on raising Marona.

One of the most heavy lines, is when Ash feels powerless to protect Marona. Wondering why her parents saved, why he is still there.

Marona inherited her parents ability to communicate with phantoms, but as a result. It became a stigma on her, earning her the resentment of everyone.

You see as she gets crushed, and Ash being unable to do anything. Though, you follow as she does slowly begin to shape a new direction. And Ash being there, watching as she grows.

Another character Walnut, he is a Chroma Oxide. He steals the jobs of other Chromas. In reality, he does that to pay for his sister’s medication.

The more he uses his power though, the closer he draws to death. They really went way up and beyond for the characters, and went deep with the connection to Sulphur.
Ya know, on RR. I can’t remember the last vocal reader I got. Other than maybe PM’s or off site. That didn’t try to beat me down, but over here. Got peeps that actually want me to post here.

It is actually just a strange feeling. When I see comments, my mind just defaults to.

    1. Prepare.

    2. Calculate, *insert list of negatives*.

    3. Just let em go and move on.

I’ve hardwired this response into myself.
To get caught up a bit on Vita et Mors. Things are coming in full circle. By that I mean, the secondary timeline and current timeline are directly linking and now is getting close to aligning.

Now whether things go differently or not. Seven parts remaining. The story is approaching its finale. :blob_reach:

I’ll probably throw up Chapter 8.5: Desperate Devotion in a few hours.
