  • That took forever, but in Phantom Brave finally got the protagonist’s ATK to 9,999,999. I forgot how annoying the last stretch was to get. :blob_blank:

In short, to skip over an even worse grind. I did a stretch from 3.8M to 9,999,999. :blob_popcorn:

That’s the only character you’ll pretty much ever need aside from like one battle bonus battle.

So, might as well go all in.
    Well, beat Virtua Unlimited Project.

Honestly, it is slightly better than the Mega Man X series I’d say. The combat is far better, more tight, much more precise.

The abilities all have their uses, I remember Mega Man X was kinda pointless really.

Story was bad, but better than X for sure. The problem area which me made harshly knock down the score. Is the final boss.

There are two long phases, and if you lose.

You go back to the first phase, and the second phase is just straight up unfair. You also lose the items you used when you respawn.

If the items were kept at the point, and you can just retry the second phase. I’d have put it way above the X series. Nonetheless, it is a good game.

I tend to harshly knock down a score, when I am right at the final boss, and it was badly designed. Just tends to feel like a punch in the face. :blob_catflip:
I think you secretly have a crush on me. Because you always want to eat me. :blob_hide:
Hopefully by the time Solem et Lunam finishes release here, I will finish Azure Night’s rewrite. I am halfway done. A lot of new stuff added to this version.

Also, for Solem et Lunam. To know Sol’s full name, you’ll have to read the Christmas Special on Royal Road.

Or you can take a wild guess right here. :meowsip:
Alright you muffin eaters. What do you think is the most sinful thing in writing? :blob_popcorn:
If you haven’t played the Star Force series. I recommend it.

Star Force 1 enters like a storm, with a great story, gameplay and music.

Star Force 2, was a big letdown. Ain’t gonna sugar coat this. Bad story, okay music, so-so gameplay.

Star Force 3, they recovered with a pretty good story, great music, and the best system. I can’t stress how fun that system was lol.
There was just one FanFic thread, now it is popping up everywhere. :blob_blank:

Personally, I see nothing sudden about it. Fanfiction is a very volatile topic and it will always cause this kind of reaction.

Yeah, didn’t expect it to be this heated though. Usually things are fine, with leveled approaches. :blob_blank:

People lost sight of the original goal of the thread. It happens. They think as if their arguing going to do anything at all.
I am remembering the pain of Phantom Brave grind. By the way, the stat barrier is at about 3.5M. Anyway, the process is now. Go up 198 floors to get a max stat title.

Slap onto a lvl 9999 object, then slap on failure to your weapon and fuse to gain any stat boost now.

You can go up 396 floors, max 2 titles. Apply fail to a lvl 9999 weapon, and title to another. Fuse together. Then slap on a max title to that weapon

And a fail to your weapon, to gain a large boost. Talk about a grind. :blob_blank:

Reincarnation is also very pointless in this game. It is just a useless time sink. You can reach max stats without it by fusing weapons.
So, you ever had the protagonist and antagonist work together?

Did that once, though it was a whole long build up. To cut it a bit short, the protagonist and antagonist are two halves of a whole.

And as the story continues, you do see that they care for the other. However, circumstances, and a long history brought them in opposition.

Anyway, right before the finale. Is the one time you see them work together to bring down another antagonist. Then it transitions to their final battle. :blob_popcorn:

Needless to say, both halves helps you understand the lead as a whole. In the series finale, it was their other half that ends up being the last one to protect the main.

Which as a call back, the main uses their other half’s strongest ability to link into their own. :meowsip:

I think we can agree that Sony has become basically a glorified movie host at this point. Sure, their games look good, that has always been their strong point even way back then.

Though, back then. Their gameplay was also extremely good. I’ve noticed for a while now, their gameplay is pretty barebones. So-so at best. :meowsip:

Another thing too is that, they are focusing too much on remakes and sequels. Rather than trying to push the line.

The smaller teams could help with this, but they have made a commitment to profit. Which funny enough, limited their profits.

And costed them much more. An entire mismanagement of money direction as well to creating games.
Sony have cancelled a lot of live service games. I mean hell, they thought making 12 was a goal? The leadership there is so dumb not to understand how there is so limited space in that market, and the extremely high rate of failure as a result.

They’ve lost a ton of money pursuing this end to try and squeeze every dime out of people. Which for some reason, you got some people defending this downward spiral?
