  • Star Force series seriously needs a remake. However, the story of 2 needs pretty big improvement. And while 3 is very good, structure could use a touch up or two. Star Force 1 though, it got everything right.

Star Force 3 had a pretty good story, amazing system, and tracks that slapped hard.

Ya know, I haven’t been on Royal Road for at least two weeks now. The most I did was drop in to make a release or cross post to another site, and then leave.

SH environment is just so much better. :blob_popcorn:

At first it can seem good, but the longer you’re there, the worse it gets. Community can be so-so, some people can be pretty good, many not so much.

The main turn away though is the type of people they attract, they can be the worst of the worst. The most entitled and stuck up people.

The toxicity on the site can be pretty bad from all corners. Just know, what you see on SH and RR is like night and day.

They’re like always looking for something to attack. You just name it and they attacked it, and those things still turn up now and then.

I can’t tell which is worst. The readers or the community itself. Authors though can be good, though it kinda looks like they are also on their wits end from what I can tell.

Some authors I knew, I can see how their responses changed the longer they were on there. A lot of it on RR is like damage control.
Vita et Mors, 7 more parts until it is complete on SH. So for those who have been waiting, this is a good time to jump in. How will it go? Only one way to find out.

Worship iguanas, roast ducks, eat muffins, and maybe you might find out. :blob_reach:
One of the shorts I wrote, was a Christmas one. A rescue operation turned into a robbery. ?

Made me question who is worse here. XD

Whoever you wrote to be worse I imagine.

    Let’s see.

Iguana—> Burned down a stronghold and watched it burn while eating popcorn.

Ava—> Tortured someone, and switched group’s loyalty to her after that torture session.

    Cyra—> Took 75% of someone’s net worth.

    Sol—> Took the person’s gaming computer. ?

Felt bad for Valor, the guy came in all hyped thinking they are a hero group.

    Spoiler:

These characters are far from anything heroic. ?

The operation was a rescue in the end, but left a few questionable moments.
Fellas, Jaymark changed their PFP. I can’t call em the local beef anymore. So well, gotta come up with something else…:blob_teary:
I guess I never did explain a bit on the new scenes. This addition was made to Parallel Hearts: Defiant Chains(Book 9).

Finale: The Chains That Defies Fate.

    Insertion point after part 7.

    Finale: Defiant Flames(Part 7.5)

    Atlalune—> Solem et Lunam

    Finale: Defiant Devotion(Part 7.6)

    Ava/Desdemona—> Vita et Mors.

    Finale: Defiant Will(Part 7.7)

    Isa—> Azure Night.

    Finale: Defiant Hope(Part 7.8)

    Isa—> Azure Night.

The point of these additions, is because I never explained what happened to them. You see them again in Part 8 and the conclusion.

For spoiler reasons I won’t say what happened to them. The titles were chosen to reflect them.

For instance, Defiant Will. Reflects to Isa’s story, how they gave up their humanity, basically burned down the order they once was under to save one person.
    Valmond
    Valmond
Defiant Flames, is towards Atlalune and her main affinity. Which involves the burning of her soul. It reflects their resolve to go forward, as they will burn out their soul if it needs to be done.

Defiant Devotion, reflects to Ava’s personality. Their devotion is both their strongest point and their greatest weakness.

Defiant Hope reflects to the second main of Azure Night. :meowsip:

New stuff was also added. In Defiant Devotion for instance, it is the one and only time you see Ava unrestrained. As she will for the first time use her ability to the fullest she can.

    Defiant Will,

This will be added into the rewrite of Azure Night. Though, Great Restriction. This will be the first time it is seen for now. Though, it is an ability with a major drawback.

Same with Ava’s own, and Atlalune’s own.
I am so tired lol. I really should not have stayed up all night writing those four scenes. I had to then go to work, and now I want to get some writing done for my other stuff. Though, my body is telling me no. XD

I suppose it was worth it, the four scenes blew up instantly. :blob_hmm_two:

It was around 50 reading it on the first day. We’ll find out how much more in a week. :blob_popcorn:

Doing the math, 50 x 4 parts would be around 200 views for the first day. Which is honestly quite a lot faster than the time things usually take.

I guess peeps were waiting far longer than I was to find out what happened to the three characters. ?
    Valmond

It was honestly the first time I did have over 10 peeps consistently on each part. Usually it is like 5 or 6 and they slowly trickle in over time.

Same shit I did. Woke up 4 hours later. Somehow I feel refreshed, which isn't the usual.
Doing the word count for the series finale. It is about 18.3k words. Far longer than any finale, and longer than most chapters. :blob_blank:
Ya know, now that I am more rested. I kinda realized I wrote a yandere in one of the scenes. And that one was batshit insane. :blob_blank:

    Lol

Funny enough, the idea struck me while I was at work. So, I was writing down ideas between short breaks. XD

I wasn’t sure how the arrangement was gonna go. Though, the idea was there. Miraculously. I wrote in such a way, that I was able to insert all the scenes one after another.

    Lol

Sometimes yeah, but the series is highly complex and sharply tied together. Making insertions is a careful process, as I have to keep consistent with everything before it.

There are over 3k pages. :blob_blank:

    To be more precise, 3.3k.
Damn, I can’t sleep lol. I have work later, but when I write something I really like. I just can’t settle down. XD
Ya know, of course there were some peeps who skipped to the series finale conclusion. ?

Getting a ton of readers though. :blob_blank:
Alright, finished editing it all and made those release. Honestly, the reason I just released them all. Is because it would be a crappy move to withhold story parts, when it was supposed to be done.
Finished the second scene. Two more to go. They are hitting harder and harder, the last two is gonna simply crush.

Anyone who knows my tragedies, they know it isn’t the typical way it is done. :blob_reach:
Well, I finished one of those additional scenes. Three more to go. Releases won’t be made until they are all done, no point in getting people worked up lol.

I regret nothing with these scenes. :meowsip:
I’ll keep up with updates for as long as I can. However, for the next day or two. I am going to be focusing on adding four new scenes to the series Finale.

Exciting scenes, but also heart wrenching. :blob_popcorn:
Now, the worst offender. Which keeps this game from being far from good. Is FFX-2. The amount of steps, and specifics needed to get 100% is so absurd. That you’re basically playing Guidebook the Game.

I ain’t joking, you can miss the 100% for the Perfect End from the start of the game. And to make things worse, you can miss it for the slightest thing.
    Valmond
    Valmond
Valkyrie Profile comes second with this. Only because, you really don’t need a guide for every single moment.

However, you will almost certainly never find the True End without it. And the True End is necessary to understand the second game.
    Valmond
    Valmond
Calamity Trigger that one is likely third. I remember how absurd it was to get to the True End path. Some things have to be done very specifically, like ending certain battles with Distortion or Astral Finish.

The reason it is third, is because you do get hints on what you had to do. Not good hints, but still hints. It was insanely tedious to get through, especially since Calamity Trigger is extremely unbalanced.
    Valmond
    Valmond
Astral Finish as well can only be done when the target is like 20% HP or lower. Very easy to mess up.
