  • So past the halfway point in Vita et Mors for a bit of time now. 87 readers, well 84 really.

If I can get at least 100 by the end. I'd say this would be a good pull.

For sure it has attracted new attention to the rest of my stuff. ^^

Anyway, the tragedy is just gonna get worse. :blob_popcorn:
By the way, if you're looking for a potentially fun game. This one is currently in development, but seems to be worth waiting for.

On another note, looks like the devs took inspiration from Velvet from Tales of Berseria. Ain't gonna lie, makes me more excited. :blob_evil_two:
Ya know, I remember some cooking competition show I was watching. And there was this guy, that had the ‘main character’ vibe lol.

I ain’t joking with that, it was hilarious. Anyway, he bet everything on a single piece of beef.

While I really wanted that guy to win, because of how absurd it was. Unfortunately, he underperformed a bit with the beef and was eliminated.
    Book 2 rewrite:

One particular thing I’m gonna remove, mainly because. I’m taking it back to my original vision. With of course its improvements. Fortunately, just Chapter 6 has to be adjusted.

You see, one notable thing for Book 2, is that it is the start of the Parallel Hearts series. So, you see what led the main to becoming the Bringer of Demise. How they became as strong as they did.

In Book 2, by the end. They only have access to Stage 8, Book 3 finale is when they have access to Stage 9. It is a long painful process. :blob_popcorn:

Execution level abilities as the name implies, are meant to kill. They are used at the highest point of a battle, there are conditions and whatnot.

Their purpose is to try and end the battle immediately.

Though, when they land. Things get real insane. :blob_popcorn:

On a fun note, the first ACE level ability is introduced in the series finale to conclude everything. :meowsip:
VP 2, Alicia gets Nibelung Valesti version II after her defeat by Odin. It signals not only the shift to the last two sections of the game.

Though, that this is when she really starts to take a commanding role in the story. A nice little touch, is that at the start of the attack, she pulls out Silmeria’s sword.

Pretty much a small detail that shows her growth, but also that she is close to Silmeria.

Old games had some nice little details.
VP 2 had a lot of insanely fun late game boss fights. You could technically beat the bosses before they do this. However, the script is that.

    Odin,

When he reaches half life, he uses his special, ending the battle. The transition displayed just how powerful he was, and how outmatched Alicia and Rufus was.

    ^No clue.

Couldnt find a speedrun video funnily showcasing this glitch, so here is the tutorial and timestamped video to the moment the "bug" is happening.

And what caused me to laugh SO HARD when i saw it for the first time. XD

lol, sometimes I wonder how they discover these things.

Little Witch Nobeta had some fun exploits. You could use the fire magic to blast yourself over heights that you can’t normally reach.

This allowed you to skip over areas I discovered. You could also use fire magic in the last section, to skip over the dungeons you’d normally have to do.

There were fun exploits I learned. ?

By the way, the last section you have to go through the dungeons to reach a regenerating crystal. The fire magic does constant high damage, where you should be able to reach it from your angle at the bottom.

Another exploit was to use Lightning magic to blast yourself over a tall ledge. Lightning magic will stop hitting you when it upgrades to a certain point.

However, it can still be done with fire magic.

Cap Time for Vita et Mors:

At this point, the past timeline is well…gonna make you wish it was Truck-kun instead. The tragedy is gonna shoot up, massively.

As for the main timeline, this is when the tragedy is gonna start to shoot up even more, and it is going to link into the past timeline.

    In short, Val wins. :blob_evil:

To cut things a bit shorter, doesn’t matter if you want to be F’d or not. All sides are getting it. :blob_evil:
    Val Tip: Shorts

The easiest way personally, is to establish a start, middle, and end. Containing it to one or two main points, maybe three at the most. Since it is a short, there isn’t too much room to go wild.

I think the longest short I wrote is about 15k words. Which is about a good length to flesh things out enough. Though really, the ball range of 5k isn’t bad either for smaller range projects.

When the finale dropped, it linked those character stories into the finale. As well as the main antagonist. :blob_popcorn:

Honestly, I came up with this method. Since I didn’t feel like writing a whole new book. It eventually developed into this connected timeline, and was a lot of fun.

Me chaps are like that, except some are linked to others.

While we're talking about this method, why don't you try and read SHHS (Scribble Hub Highschool)?

It'll be a lot of fun.

Scribblehub High School? The forums are already like that. :blob_blank:
Ya know, this is sorta a pattern. Peeps look to be interested more in the in between chapters. Well, I ain’t gonna be the one to tell em how that timeline goes. Val always win in the end. :blob_evil:
Well, I tried Tales of Grace F and returned it. Probably one of the worst systems I have experienced. I would describe it as sluggish, clunky even. Slow and not engaging.

Now, comparing it to a similar system Tales of Vesperia. Aside from some differences of course. Vesperia was faster, and more fluid. It really isn’t long until it opens up a bit more to chain more combos.

This as a result created a more engaging experience within the first hour. Well, at least I tried it out.
Ya know, something I don't get. And that's peeps adding a book to complete, when it wasn't wrapped up yet.

I can understand dropped, but the complete thing is kinda weird. Unless they finished it on another site, then I can see why.

Though, also seen it for incomplete and ongoing stuff. :blob_evil_two:
Tales of Berseria. Since discovering the Mystic Arte Chain, this also works with Velvet’s third Mystic Arte. You will need 8 BG.

First use the level 1, then chain through around round back to her, and she will use her third level Mystic Arte. This effectively bypasses the Nightmare Claw requirement and 20 second requirement.

However, to maximize the damage. It is recommended to go through this process either way.

As the lower her HP, the more damage she does. The goal is to aim for 1 HP for max damage.

On another note, better to prioritize leveling weaker equipment than stronger ones do to their easier requirements. The total enhance is the goal.
    Valmond

And on a final note, to get around waiting for the third level Mystic Arte all the way at the end game last dungeon.

Simply download Cheat engine, and change the last value in the artes to FF. That’s all, now have fun. ?
Okay, TF was with that pedophile thread? I get most were joking. Though, like two people in there were very questionable to the point they likely should be on a watch list.

Been here again for just over a week, and that happened. :blob_blank:
Ya know, out of my entire time that I played Tales of Berseria. I just discovered Mystic Arte chaining. This is essentially, when you use a Mystic Arte.

You hold down the Mystic Arte button + the directional button of where a character will be, this includes the reserves.

And you will continuously chain through, elevating the level of the Mystic Arte used. I can’t believe I never knew this. ?
Ya know, the Glossary Page. What is that stuff for anyway? Just information on stuff from the story? If so, I pretty much cover that with my profile sections, which also comes with a Bonus Scene or 2. :meowsip:
