Humans lack the ability to use any form of magic, because their cell structures cannot retain dark matter (mana). To be able to use magic, they would need to either modify their cell structure to be able to retain dark matter, or make the switch from being carbon-based to being silicon-based life.

Two silicon-based people hold in their hands a vibrant and beautiful crystal of red beryl. They put their hands together and chant a prayer to Aushephex, then one of them severs their right hand, while the other severs their left. It will grow back within a couple days. They put the hands over each other and onto the crystal, and then they plant it in the garden.
