The reason Aushephexiiv can store so much dark matter inside their bodies, is because we have crystal horns growing out of our head, and we are also silicon-based. Crystals can store a lot of dark matter when they are formed in an environment that is rich in said dark matter.

If the place where the crystals form is close to a star or on a planet with a molten core, then the environment is sufficient for crystals to form with the qualities for becoming mana batteries.

Nobody appreciates lore anymore.

Humans in other worlds actually can utilize dark matter. But the humans in this world are special. When the supression on their ability to use dark matter is lifted upon transmigration to another world, they become super powered beings.

Or this could be just the way humans tell stories to make themselves feel better about being pathetic.
