Sabotaged myself by taking 2 hours nap before actually going to sleep these past days.
Had a silly idea due to seeing cultivation game.
Apparently leveling up through the game is still through EXP; you fill the bar via murder or doing quests or in some games, literally letting your game character "meditate" ie hands off auto leveling.
