An Atretochoana Eiselti, while technically a caecilian (underwater worm), they are often bullied by humans; we colloquially call it a "penis snake."

This animal would not fit your example conditions, but when mentioning unusual animals, one cannot simply ignore the duck-billed, beaver-tailed, egg-laying, milk-sweating mammal that is a platypus. Oh, did I mention it has electroreceptors in the bill?

Baby numbat. Numbat don't have pouches, so the young sticks to the mom's teats and is carried that way for about 5 months.

Turns out marsupial =/= pouch animals

Tasmanian pygmy possum - smallest possum. Looks a bit like a dormouse.
