In my daily life, I usually make noises, or hum, or beatbox (horribly, I might add),
-and sometimes I get a song, or a theme, or some random videogame sound fx stuck in my head that won't go away for a few days.
Normal, right?
But somewhere in that repertoire of sounds, or songs, there is that one theme, or couple of themes, that have lasted an eternity with you no matter how long it's been. These are the themes that tend to cycle through your mind depending on your own personal whimsy for months, or even years. I call these natural theme songs. Ear worms that just stick with you from the moment you hear them, and off into freakin' forever.
Here are mine:
The Powerpuff Girls opening drum theme; Also known as the "Amen break"
The NES Super Mario Bros theme
The Orchestral Halo theme
and..
The reason why I'm making this thread in the first place..
Story time:
I was humming, and making my stupidass noises, as usual, when my friend looks at me, and I just.. kinda stop; And I'm wondering, why are they just staring at me with a blank expression?
They asked me to do it again, so, I did.
Mind you, I HAVE BEEN SINGING THIS PARTICULAR THEME, ON LOOP, SINCE FOREVER. It's just an ear worm that I've had since like I was a kid. It's the reason why I've picked up (my horrible) beatboxing. It's the random theme that casually revolves around my brain whenever I'm busying myself with work.
I stare this MF dead in the eyes, and half-ass beatbox again, on loop.
And they grin.
This MF grinned, and grabbed their phone. I'm so angry.. FOR YEARS, MY LIFE HAS BEEN OBLIVIOUS TO MY OWN STUPIDITY WHEN IT CAME TO THIS...
It's the goddamn pronhub theme song....
..
..
..
..
I'm.. LIVID... and.. and so ..SO... -sigh.. ...defeated.
I'm dead. Life is a prison. I hate it here.
So anyway, what are your natural theme songs? I bet they're better than MINE.
