Han Jue from Top Tier Providence, Secretly Cultivate for a Thousand Years… at least he sure as hell is in the novel… I’m not sure about the manhua-nyah.

Actually, I would like to put the sword in Rooftop Swordmaster in here.

Because holy fuck, other than Zoro's three swords training until his jaw is capable of snapping a man in half, the magic sword is one beautiful mf.

And that is before thr discovery of remote telekinesis movement.

Sephiroth. He could one-shot a huge basilisk and then impaled the corpse on a huge stick. He didn't need to use materia because he was strong even without it.

Kirito, the real Black Swordsman

To me, aura matters much more for a swordsman than actual strength or technique. So the best swordsman isn't necessarily the most powerful, but the one who looks coolest while cutting dudes down.

Therefore, Miyamoto Musashi as depicted in Vagabond is the best swordsman ever

The two limitations are, can't be real or pseudo historical person.

I guess Claymores are disqualified from the running, then? :blob_pout:

In that case, my pick would be Makie Otono-Tachibana from Blade of the Immortal.

She's acknowledged as the absolute best fighter in the series, and is undefeated in fair combat. She did die in the end because some coward ambushed her with a group of gunners, but even when riddled with bullets and ravaged by tuberculosis, she still managed to climb up the hills and cut down the gunners before collapsing.

Oh, hell yes.
