The first one shows he wasn't aware of his surroundings nor used them to his advantage against a wise woman, a basic swordsman requirement.

The second one shows he is honorable as a swordsman, so I will give him that. Though that doesn't prove he is a better swordsman, just a more honorable one.
Damn it, you took my sarcasm, answered it seriously, and you were even fair about it.
Now I can't make an unreasonable response without sounding like a jackass.
You are quite the bastard sir. Yes indeed.

I mean, Zoro can lift like 500 tons or something. Using your logic we can say Luke Cage is the strongest swordsman, simply because he is super strong and his skin is impenetrable.
Fair. Though Zoro actually has the title of swordsman so that was why ai used him. If you want a fully human swordsman, I would say myamoto musashi.

The two limitations are, can't be real or pseudo historical person.

I am a bastard born, indeed. I thank you for your fair assessment and wish you well.
Damn it.

Now you're just rubbing it in. I'm not a pork roast and you aren't barbeque-flavored.
I am honey and you are sweet bread. Let me cover your pain.
I was actually thinking of guys like Leo Bonhart, Himura Kenshin, aforementioned Zorro and so on. Or at the very least if a person mentions someone like Ichigo they would add, "Even without magic and sword he is a good swordsman because blah-blah."
Probably Guts then.

Mifune and his Infinity One Sword Style from Soul Eater. Solely because it invoked Unlimited Blade Works vibe but also because it is an actual technique based swordsmanship.

Someone already mention Dugu Qiubai. I have no idea why they never bother to mention Dongfang Bubai (Speed is the only strongest form in murim) and Ximen ChuiXue (also a speed based swordsman plus Conqueror Haki of sorts)

I know @RepresentingWrath asked for strongest swordsman and I have a ton of interpretation of it.

For example, if you mean the one that causes the most damage in their own verse with a sword, I would pick Gin and his God Killing Spear from Bleach or Soh Jinhong and his Flying Flash Sword in Gosu.

Damn Gosu was good. Hard to find other Murim-type stories of that level. The only other one I found was Legend of the Northern Blade and it's completed and I finished it. Was surprised at how quick it resolved itself in the end....and it didn't seem rushed either. Rare.

I stopped Purple Sperm Eyes during a big fight between MC and some rando evil bloke who pretended to be friendly.

Holy hell you right.

Googled the name and I saw the man's headshot and spitted.
Yep. He and MC used to be close friends, but Jo grew jaded due to his father's constant abuse, and when he found a new way to gain strength that didn't rely on his father's acceptance, he jumped for it. Unfortunately, it ended up being an extremely dangerous source of power that corrupted him due to the kinds of things he needed to do to "level it up," so to speak.

Yeah well, MC father has negative chi aka purple juice technique for MC to inherit.

Sometimes in order to catch up to the monster known as the Main Character, one to must become monster.
