Honestly, games barely are a turn off for me. Like, I voiced my hatred for multiple endings. However, there are some that does it very well.

I guess it kinda depends.

For instance, Open world is more likely to turn me away, since they are usually done pretty bad. Though, it is not a deal breaker depending.

Multiple ends are usually abysmally done. My bar is that if I need a guide, you did a crap job on the game.

I should be able to know what I have to do within the constraints of the game itself. Seeking an external source just to find something in the game, I have always found it very bad design.

That aside, nothing is a deal breaker to say. It kinda just depends.

For me it's personal preference. I get bored of even great open world freedom games. I got bored of Witcher 3 which people consider one of the best. There are also usually too many choices for me. My favorite Dark Souls is DS3, and it's like the most linear of all of them. You are funneled to head certain directions.

I get that, linearity is the bread and butter that made the best games out there. The slow expansion, as the world opens up more and more.

It allowed you to experience each moment of the game, and really take it in. Which made each section more fun, as you wanted to see what the next thing is.

Open world takes that away, so after maybe a few hours. Whatever magic is there is gone, it is completely normal to get bored. Since there isn’t really a steady progression, things become all over the place.

On top of that, stories are often far weaker in open world games. And game mechanics are also kinda so-so really, in my experience that is.
I only play open world if it's a survival sandbox.
Yeah, I can get behind that.

There is one clicker game I can recommend, as it is extremely good. Eternal Senia Hydrangea.

Despite its limited function, it is a game that tests your reaction.

It is very story heavy, as that’s the whole point of the two games. Each arc heavily ends. This one is like the only one I can recommend though, clickers are pretty bad.

This one really just shook up what clickers can be.

Mechanic wise, you have four skills.

The last is the character’s ultimate. Each skill have sub skills that can be attached to them, such a dodge on Phantom Strike. Evade at the right moment, and deal double damage.

However, there are special conditions at times. Such as if you phantom strike a certain boss, they will counter you for heavy damage.

That same boss, their shield can only go down if you use the ultimate.

It was a pretty fun experience. Very visually pleasing, and great music.

The game is finished, and very F2P friendly. It pretty much prioritizes grind and story over anything else.
True, a lot of games are 70 dollars. I think civ7 is going to be that, and I won't buy it.

Oh yeah, I forgot Gacha games. I don't like those either.
I call BS, your PFP speaks gacha. :blob_catflip:

Idles (pointless games), Gachas (too much focus on trying to get us to pay more money), MMOs (good games, too time consuming), and Online Competitive (I play games to relax, not worry about rank).

The price tag.
I think what’s worse than the $70 price tag, is how absurd micros have become. People really have accepted to have less, when back then. You got the whole package.

I think Arise was the worst offender, well. Not worst, but definitely up there. With them locking skills behind the shop.

Honestly, it is better to play mid level publishers to indies. They are both affordable, and usually not crazy with their DLC.

Oh Come on. Don't lie you look like a gacha addict. No one is gona blame you.
No, why would I lie about that? I openly admit to playing League of Legends and liking gay vampire stories and anime. Gacha games wouldn't be any difference.

I just realized League is a gacha game because you roll for good teammates every game.
True, and I’ve seen people get extremely toxic in league. I mean come on, it is just a game.

On top of that, getting good players to play looks to be a chore.

Then there are those who try to sabotage a game.

1. lootboxes, surprise mechanics, gacha, gambling, pay2win, etc.

2. DEI, PVP, looter shooter, Animal as the main draw(Like horse riding or Nintendogs)

3. tragedy, abuse, furry, torture, mind control

4. requires online login to play singleplayer, live service, requires a MS/Sony/Epic/EA/etc account to play.

It's a hard no for 1-3, but I've caved on like 2 games with 4. I just couldn't help it, I really like State of Decay games, and it was required to keep playing modded minecraft after MS bought it.
