So... I'm writing a story and the MC, named River, is a socially stunted once-extrovert now-introvert by way of depression. Her mom didn't really let her do any "normal" teen activities.
River's got a friend/is the adopted sibling of her friend, Riley. who feels as if her father and extended family have locked her into the expectations of being a juvenile, immature child. You know, pretty normal thoughts.
So, River wants to give Riley a fun outing between two equals.
Unfortunately, River is based on me, so I, and by extension, her, can't come up with anything other than going to the library, to the theater, or on a walk in the park (which aren't necessarily bad, but... come on. There have to be better, more novel experiences). Are there any quote-unquote "teenager activities" (or just fun activities in general) that would be good?
Or are you all too socially stunted to come up with anything too?
