SH is awesome for the simple reason that my smut was approved here and nowhere else xD.

Long live SH.

Maybe I'll write something non-smut when I am not crap at writing.

Ups and downs. Pragmatically, it's a little bare-bones feature-wise compared to some other platforms. Readers are also less likely to comment and interact here. But the forums are certainly very active and the readers who do comment tend to be more friendly, which is nice. A lot of other sites can be very cutthroat..

I'm never tense logging into SH. But for some place like RR I always need to build up the courage to open the site and to see what came in today

I think getting published and read is a very difficult task on the internet. A place like ScribbleHub can at least get you read, and get some reactions from a prospective reader.

As far as the content here goes - I hope to improve it! And get some other people to come check out the site. I guess they can improve a bit with the readability in mobile devices - that would be excellent.

Don't you feel that it is more difficult to get read on Royal Road?

I honestly prefer RR just because the quality is better than SH when it comes to novels. Although SH seems to have a better community than RR if you don’t like Harem or LGBTQ stuff then your outta lock one this site. Also WN is the site I go to when I’m drunk since almost half the stories there have shiter grammar than most stories here

i personally prefer writing in Ao3, even if i will get much less exposure. well, i do write a lot of questionable things that ain't allowed in this site and i feel sick if i have to censor some parts.

about SH itself, i'm not sure what to say. i don't really read the stories that much. even if i found something interesting, they often gets dropped with little chapters. while on the popular stories itself, i don't think i could ever stick that long either.

i don't think i feel secure about posting on this site either. i'm not really a thick-skinned person and just want to share what i poured my heart into. when i just be honest with my writing and wanting people to accept me as I am, this site taught me how wrong i was. and that's how i started writing moving to Ao3 instead.

i guess it also applies to every site with a rating and review system. not a fan of it, especially since you can't reply to the reviews. so others can just write things that are incredibly incorrect about the story and flaunt it as the truth, and they could even disable their profile if you want to clarify further.

the thing that makes SH better than RR is the forum and less toxicity overall, but that doesn't mean it's the place that makes me comfortable.

when it just some shit and giggles, i will consider, but if i wanted something a bit more serious--i think not.

overall, I guess I prefer Ao3 for posting stories. I like it when I can just write everything without feeling that I'm judged all the time.

I haven't used RR myself, as I put my novel in the anniversary contest, and SH was the first site of this type I discovered (one of the LN translators I read published something here, which led to me reading more stuff) but is it really so bad? I thought it's pretty much the same thing, just 2x or 3x as popular.

Let's wish SH doesn't become the likes of any other! And therefore, will continue as a pretty okay-based site.
