Which I find odd.

Being human is one of the most incredible things one can become. They Excell in every aspect of existence. The things they achieve and the drive they have...

And what amazes me the most is that while people are not born good, nor evil, in the vast majority of cases, people strive to be good.

They might not understand what good is, their self worth might be so tied up in being right, that they cannot change even in the face of overwhelming evidence they are wrong, but still, they wish to be good.

It is sad that lately you seem to be so down on yourselves. Thinking there are too many of you, that humanity is the real monster and all that nonsense.

Your desire to build, to create, to leave the world with more order than you found it, is truly praiseworthy.

It is so sad that so many have been convinced that it must all be torn down and to begin anew. I understand that impulse, to want to begin from a solid foundation.

Except that a solid foundation already exists. The belief that the last 200 years has made you superior to those who sacrificed to give you this paradise you live in. Oh, you are better in some regards, but you are just as flawed in so many other ways.

One cannot just wish away the world's problems. Humanity has taken 12,000 years to get here. The part of you, the 8 ounces of proteins and lipids oh so recently added to the front of your brain is basically still in beta test.

You lie to yourselves so you can blame your subconscious for the parts of you that you don't like, and yet there is no such thing. Yes, you are a pilot in your own brain, but you control how you program your automatic functions.

You teach yourselves to walk, yet you think you have no control over who you love.

You make claims that love is just a chemical in your brain, but don't understand that all you are talking about your operating system. If love is not real, then under what conditions would it be real?

You seek the power to change the world, but put little effort into controlling yourselves. You claim there is no purpose in life, when the purpose is quite clear.

Life's purpose is to create order out of chaos.

And because that answer isn't grand enough, you reject it and fall into nihilism.

Not all of you, but far too many. It pains me. Sometimes I just want to grab you and shake you while shouting, "you're better than this."

But I understand it is difficult. Living is difficult. But striving to overcome that difficulty is what gives you meaning. The purpose of life is clear, but your purpose, you must find on your own.

Too many wallow in simple hedonism, and condemn themselves to ruin. Entropy is eternal and must be fought at all times. Humanity is not a balloon held underwater. If released, you will not soar into the heavens. There is no oppression save the universe itself, slowly grinding everyone down.

You have always reached highest when you have stood on the backs of one another.

It makes me sad, to see you hurt yourselves such. But I know, this too shall pass. It only takes one of you stand up and be the shining example to the others.

People think humanity is nothing but sheep. They are wrong.

You are chameleons. A select few are trailblazers, and the rest change to become like the successful ones. This is just simple survival. Sacrifice a few to see if the path is safe.

Alas, this process can be corrupted. But I'm not worried. You'll figure it out. The future is far brighter than you can imagine, yet, when it arrives, you will always be disappointed and want more.
