Be not afraid

I am just a jpeg
I need an anime version of this to show to those people at twitter who say tanned girls are offensive
We've already got tons of stupid threads. You chose to add yet another one on the trash heap.
Indeed, isn't it fun~~♡
Also hope your hand heals up soon.
^^)
Thank you dearie, how nice of you
But besides that, yes Lovecraft's first stories were mediocre. But what really matters is that he improved over time, like many other authors.

In other words: I am biased towards Lovecraft, and this post is based more on personal feelings than cold hard facts, but you still shouldn't judge his or anyone else's skill as an author at the beginning of their career. Not saying you can't find Lovecraft cringy, but judge his skill as an author by his entire works not just his beginning stuff.
I wasn't going to answer any such questions of the kind, but since you were so sweet, here it is.

Yes, Lovecraft was a great, an incredible author. His works would grip your heart and would leave you scared for days. The paranoia that the space exploration would result in discovery of such a being increases, and you are overwhelmed by the sheer amount of oceans that have been left undiscovered.

However while praising such an idealistic figure, we often forget the rough path they had to take.
We use words like talented, and talk as if every work of Lovecraft was as good as other.
Feelings of, "The authors of past were better" and, "Maybe I don't have what it takes" appear.

Which is why this was a self reflection, to remind me and many authors that everyone starts from zero
Typical rookie mistake. Never use your brain on Agentt posts.
Every single actual thought you think is more than he invested, so you lost.
The post looks cringe to some because it's an attempt at throwing loose connection leaning completely towards intuitive random perception like brain vomit. It completely throws rigorous sorting of the thoughts which can look immature for people who likes polishing and cleaning up concrete data because it's something they would be able to do as babies with eyes closed.

There's no need to be mad, you can let them do their job vomitting ideas and find something valuable on their own, and encourage them to form clean concrete fact based thesis afterwards ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You two...

I would remind him that some people love his work, his style, and the fact that he avoids naming characters. When you avoid naming characters, it is easier for people to put themselves in the places of the characters. Personally, I love how Soramimi Hanarejima uses second person and first person to avoid naming characters:

If Lovecraft changed his work to please others, he would also make other people unhappy. This is why authors should write about what makes the author happy.

Quite a number of Japanese artists and authors, particularly light novel authors whose works a lot of publications on this site are inspired by, are pretty much 2chan/matome licking right wingers who think of Chinese and Koreans as lessers. Separating an artist from the art has its limit, and quite frankly a stupid exercise in some cases, but the further you go, the more time does it for you. Look at Soviet-era art for one.

Speaking of light novels, my first exposure to Lovecraft was actually Haiyore Nyaruko, so I can't speak about cringe.

Edit: Grammar.
