Wait, if the 100 human behave like bloddlust fearless battle maniacs, does that mean the gorilla is also a bloodlust non stop battle maniac?

I've always found man vs animal, but man doesn't get weapons questions to be ridiculous. Why allow the biological advantages of wild animals, such as immense strength, claws, teeth, etc, if we're not going to allow the biological advantage of humans, being smart enough to make and use those weapons in the first place?

To answer the question, the gorilla. Because the gorilla has been placed in a scenario where it is as unfavorably scaled to it as it is to man when considering weapons, yes, the men have the numbers advantage, but they have no way of getting around their limitations. A man without a weapon in an immediate combat scenario is just a weak gorilla that gets instantly killed. 100 weak punches do not equal 1 100x powerful punch. Just like how one man with a shotgun could kill as many gorillas as he has ammunition, if there is no way to get around the disadvantage, nothing will change about the situation.

Even if we just allowed the men to use primitave weapons they could make in a jungle without civil society like spears, and bows (maybe a bamboo gun if you're feeling creative) the question becomes a lot more balanced to the point where you may even be able to debate 1 man with primitive weaponry vs 1 gorilla.

The problem we have is that we evolved to use tools, and no longer have a strong bite or crushing strength. Monkeys still can inflict deep damage with fangs. Ducks have short talons but would suffer similar damage from a kick as we would from a punch from a gorilla.

This was posited as the average man. India and China have office jobs. These are office workers fighting a gorilla. Without rocks or sticks. I don't see how an office worker ever inflicts damage. Human to human comparisons aren't very useful, because humans are frail compared to most other mammals. So you pick something similarly frail (birb). I think I could beat 100 geese as well, though it would leave me lacerated to high hell.
You would lose to 100 cats though. :blob_sir:

I saw this trend on tiktok and it was funny in my opinion, who do you think would win between 100 average men with no weapon vs a silver back gorilla?
Depends on the environment… in a flat plain the 100 would likely win, but in quite a few other environments in the wild, the gorilla would win-nya.
