Are you giving me a place to vent my inner xenophobe? If so, wait a couple of hours, I will return with words full of hatered aimed at elves. :blob_evil_two:

This. EVERY portrayal of elves I have read, from Tolkein's 'superior beings' to the vegan butthairs that infest a lot of fiction, just makes me want to feed the lot of them into a wood chipper and see if they come out as decent ground cover.

Goblins, orcs and any monster that is dedicated to raiding, pillaging and kidnap women, that role can be perfectly fulfilled by savage humans

You know what else? I feel the same way about the Demon Lord. A powerful demon who commands an army of monsters to wipe out humanity—that's stupid.
That role could be filled by an warlord or evil emperor who's invading, enslaving, and committing genocide in neighboring countries.

Since most of us are familiar with fantasy novels is there any race you dislike particularly,

Goblins, orcs.... Vamp-...tentacle monster perhaps.
all of the human ones

But when it comes to Goblins, never relax. Around Goblins, never relax!

I partially dislike the 100-meter race as it's over too soon, but marathons don't allow us to see how fast the athletes truly are as they are conserving their stamina so they can last a long time...

Oh, you meant the other kind of race. I really don't trust the [REDACTED].
The Futa race. Just fvck them all! Fvck them futas.

I love pretty races and monsters. Elves, tieflings, aasimar, spirits, fairies, etc. I dislike ugly races like goblins, orcs, giants, and dwarves. They still need to exist, of course, so that we can better appreciate the beauty of the visually superior races, but I never play as them or have them as a protagonist. Why be a goblin when you can be an elf?

Oh, and I'll add humans too. They're not ugly, but they're weak and boring.

Vampire isn't a race, it's just someone who glitters in the sunlight and sucks "blood"
Vampire elf, vampire dwarf, vampire minotaur shouldn't be a stretch of the imagination.

As for races I dislike:
it's non-DnD trolls. They're all generic "big" dumb brutes, where in some of the modules I had they're all like "Nanomachines, son! I regenerate every round!"

Mer-folk as a major or somewhat major character in stories where it barely takes place near, around or in the ocean for most of the story, it really gives me this 1970s Superfriends feel but without the "so bad its good" level of camp.

Centaurs, with only one exception, Blu Ringhada. What would their culture be like? See, I can re-imagine orcs as "super mongols with apache elements", goblins as "consummate builders who have a genetic dislike towards the blacksmith until their tools give out", trolls as guys with cockney accents, and ogres as detail-oriented micromanaging freaks because they live in a world with little people, but how do you come up with a culture where your ass is ten feet away from you? How do put your shoes on, because last I checked hooves vs cobblestone, cobblestone wins.
A minotaur can sit back, prop his feet up and show off his Nike Mythril shoes (+20 speed), and he can probably put them on himself.

Probably doesn't count but: advanced sentient AI that regularly interacts with people yet somehow lacks the concept of "Empathy", extra points if the AI is somehow has a job involving dealing with communications. How come C3PO gets this right? His movements might be clanky but he can relate to others.

Cold-blooded lizard-man, somehow gets around in a loin cloth despite the setting clearly based off of Europe where mornings can get low enough to kill people from exposure. Goblin Slayer did this right by making him dress more warmly.

Gnomes, halfings, brownies i.e. discount dwarves sans the charm.

IRL I hate certain games that got racing mini-games with Nürburgring layouts.

That depends on which version of vampires you go with.
Some have them as still living creatures, maybe not even contagious (or requires special "tricks" to "infect" others). One has them as possessed beings (the Beyond the Supernatural RPG - and the possession lasts beyond the death of the body unless the body is decapitated or burned IIRC).
But most of them DO sparkle in sunlight - right before they detonate.

The "D&D Troll" originated, as far as I can tell, in Pohl Anderson's "Three Hearts and Three Lions" (also where the Swanmay in Monster Manual II came from, and one of the sources - other than Galahad and Launcelot, of course, for the Paladin class - though the NAME of the class comes from The Song of Roland).
