I don't particularly care for gender bender but I have to say I can read and enjoy them if there is thought put into the story and character learning their situation. Unfortunately not a lot of that is seen on SH.

it's fun if they're still the same person who kept the same habits and preferences instead of being a completely different slate just because they changed genders. at least retain what makes them what they were.

it's also interesting to see how people they know will react when they become a girl. though it'd be most fun if not just the MC who changed genders, but their homies as well, for example.
