What made you start writing?

I started writing in 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic, and the reason was because I couldn't find anything I liked and I had enough time, so I thought: I will create a story that I like and I will share it with people!

But the result didn't turn out as I imagined and I stopped for a while, but I started writing again this year.

What about you guys?

It was depression for me. I was working 2 full-time jobs, going to school, and didn't have any free time or friends I could talk to. I just figured that since I had a computer, I may as well try writing and maybe I could make something good come out of it. Looking back, writing kept me going. Now I write because it's a stress reliever and I've come to enjoy it as a hobby.

I had lots of ideas. But I didn't know how to go about them, so they stagnated. Then I listened to a song called Dreadnought by Sabaton, which inspired me to write! It just happens everything I wrote was trash, but eh, they were learning experiences, so I value them.

A long time ago, I made a story for my sister because I wanted to make her happy. Our home life was not the greatest. This story I made is one I have worked on for many, many, years, and spread out to my friend group.

They suggested I be one because it helped them fight the trials in their day-to-day life and I wanted to do the same for strangers.

When I was 9, I saw that my mom was trying to write a novel, so I imitated her. Thus the story of Tarty Fart vs The Giant Mutant Ice Cream Cones was born. Something that I wrote on notebook paper and showed to my family and friends. Unfortunately, it has been lost… After that I would come up with random ideas, but rarely did I ever put them to paper. 3-4 years ago, I started reading web novels using novel updates, and then Scribble Hub. So I decided to write a couple of my ideas down and then publish them here, but I do get quite embarrassed at the poor quality of my work.

I've always been writing since I learned how.

But what made me post my current story... I was reading a lot of stories where people with serious issues just magically got over them because a cute girl showed up and kissed them, or because they got one or two wishes granted.

I wanted to write a story where serious effort went into recognizing and then solving the problem.

During a really bad bout of food poisoning, the full idea for my first story came to me while I was in a hunger-induced trance. I wrote it all down in the course of a few hours, and that became the outline for the Isekai Police.

I just really love writing. Like, its nothing more than that. I've been making stories since I was 5 and the love for the craft hasn't died since. I do have a problem with finishing stories that I start, but recently, I've been working on that.

See I get inspired like that too. Or I love the premise, but the execution is shit. Sometimes the writing quality is just bad, tho, even if the translations are great. So I get annoyed and pull a Thanos.

So far I'm not making $600 a month, but I'm getting there.

I once wrote a story in highschool influenced by a friend of mine who also likes to make stories. I found out how fun it was creating stories that I wanted to read. I write many drafts for self-enjoyment in college because of stress but then decided to post it because I want to share it with someone. I also want to become a full time writer and maybe a freelance editor for a more realistic approach but I can't deny that I found my passion. I kind of regret that I found it too late and now I'm stuck in a major that I don't want just to fulfil my parents' request...
