The worst review I got was a guy accusing my novel of being AI generated.
Now, that's a very serious accusation. And the proof he provides.... is that I skipped the climax of an arc that I knew would be a chore to both read a write and would cause a very big burnout.
That's the danger of wiring chapters as they go out. I know that burnout could ruin a novel (my first novel was ruined because I forced myself to write a chapter a day)
Also, he complains that a recent tragic moment feels comedic.
Because the moment isn't supposed to be tragic. The character is mentioned in only one chapter and you see him die in the next. You're not supposed to feel anything for that side character. You're supposed to feel how petty the main character is.
Funniest thing is he said my novel is strangely enjoyable but still gave it 1 star... Just because?
While in his other reviews he gave novels he clearly hates at least 2 stars
