There's also a dude who spent about ten chapters trying to act like some kind of professional editor that I ignored. Another person did the same thing but did so with more productive criticism, so that was nice.

However, the random low ratings without feedback is what makes my eyes roll the most. Especially when I see it's on the initial chapters and not at the end of the first novel, or even later in the story. It's very clear that when you make it to the top rankings, or on any of the trending tabs, other authors will 100% rating bomb you to keep themselves at the top. Especially if you aren't in the inner circle of the site.

Weird, my experience was flipped. All my improvement came from people commenting and correcting me here. (under chapters not on forums) :blob_nom:

I don't really have bad comments until now. The only thing I could think of was one guys at chapter 3 of my story.

"A bit disappointed he got 2 transformation abilities. I had hoped for a combat and a utility ability. MC even got a path identification cheat? Sorry that’s a bit too op for my taste."

The guys didn't even try to ask why or how the "cheat" will be used or if that really make the mc op or not, but that fine, he may be some reader who don't like OP thing/Cheat. Well with that in mind, I find him asking for OP mc story in recommandation, guess I was wrong.

I had a few. Oddly enough, it was here where I received most of the harsh (but valid) criticism. RR readers have been nothing but nice to me.

But I can't complain, I also got incredibly nice and good comments and reviews that greatly outweigh the harsh ones.
